we’re deep into halloween party season. basically every night this week, you’ve had something planned with someone. tonight, it was the girls. i wanted to go out too, but work had other plans. i trust them to take care of my baby and bring you home to me safely. sadly, i didn’t make it back in time to see the costume of the night. so when i hear the front door open, i rush to meet you, curious, impatient, already imagining. but even my imagination couldn’t have dreamed up what you’re wearing when i see you. my first instinct is to wrap my arms around you, to pull you against my chest as my lips find yours. everything after that moment slips completely out of my control.
