you were dreading going to your company holiday party this year, so i made sure i was free to come along with you. the night was a bit of a blur of drinks and meeting your coworkers. i was a little distracted, my eyes constantly drawn back to you in that dress. we left as soon as we could, not because we weren’t enjoying ourselves, but because we wanted to finally be alone. up the stairs to the landing, my hand presses into the small of your back as our lips meet. i pin you against the front door, and if it weren’t for the cold, we probably would have stayed there much longer. my fingers find the keys and i open the door, but we don’t make it much further than that.
