All right, I gotta ask... Do you have boxed meals where you're from? Like, Hamburger Helper? They're basically simple pre-packaged pasta meals with seasoning packets that you just add meat to. Beef stroganoff, creamy tuna pasta, that kinda stuff. Because we used to get those all the time in Louisiana, but we haven't found ANY equivalent here in Oregon. It's all just mac n' cheese. They have normal pasta shells in boxes, yeah, but no meal kits like Hamburger Helper. I asked a clerk at Whole Foods if they had any boxed meals, and he just looked at me weird. I always figured Hamburger Helper was a national staple, but I guess not? This is the greatest degree of culture shock we've experienced yet.
