Beat Death Stranding 2 this week and... man. What a game. What an extremely weird, extremely cool game. Incredible finale that constantly had me guessing, laughing, crying, second-guessing. It's definitely a polarizing form of story-telling compared to the Metal Gear games for sure. I liken it more to the story-telling stylings of Nomura and Kingdom Hearts, which is definitely convoluted as all hell, but focused far more on emotion than sense. And when it can deliver on those emotional gut-punches, they do more damage than you could even believe. Death Stranding 2 is a game that punishes you for taking it literally, and that's fine by me. But I'm a sucker for meta-contextual, deeply reflective personal works transcribed into their own weird little worlds. DS2 feels that way to me - a man reflecting on his entire career, and coming out better for it. It's the culmination of a storied career with little bits of everything thrown in. And a sick guitar solo, too. No wonder I like it so much.
That's all for today, though! Thanks so much for your patience and support, and see you on Friday!
