Just takin a quick moment to update the lack in replies past little while.
Don't wanna make excuses, but figure should explain my vague posts I made few weeks back.
3 months ago, had father put on wait list to get tests for his heart, and waaaaaited for forever. Then 3 weeks ago finally got the tests, then doc went 'o-shit-shoulda-tested-him-earlier' and rushed him to surgery. So drove across country for 2 weeks as dad got triple bypass + stents etc. Had a scare or two, but in end he came out the other end strong.
But now is past the rough bit and he is recovering well! So finally back home and working on catching back up on art and messages.
So shouldn't have any issues with back to our regular 'art' posts! Thanks so much for the patience getting back on top and look forward to more soon!

*I know this is super delayed but things have been a bit hectic, just wanted to add that I'd edited the part talking about Patreon, as it felt like saying 'regular job' implied that crowdsourcing wasn't actually a reasonable source of income. Whereas in reality I feel like it's been one of the most important developments for the fostering of cultural production that western society has had, and so absolutely don't want to be giving any impression to the contrary. Or even more broadly, making the all-too-common implication that culture wouldn't have as much value as a form of work.

Can relate currently with little scares (and a loss a couple of years ago), so wishing the best for him and yourself β€ And I feel it shouldn't really need to be said, but I'd say you really shouldn't need to worry about notions of 'excuses' with stuff like that, especially with something like Patreon which doesn't have the same types of dependencies as a conventional job π
