Hi all,
My original intention with this video was to pad for length a little bit by including some actual analysis intertwined with the comedy. As I wrote it, I became more enthused with the comedy, and I became far less satisfied with any actual analysis I wrote. I included them as long sections that transitioned from one chapter of the video to the other.
I think I will have to cut these parts of the video out. They total to 2:30. I will also have to write new stuff and change and redo existing material in order to create chapter transitions that work and feel natural in their places, because the plot is simply built around those transitions. I am cutting these because they are to set up possible future analysis, which I have discovered I am unenthused about making, and will impose a kind of strict structure on the video centered around ideas and themes that I don't think I can cover without the video seeming bad, unstructured, and too much in a rush.
That is to say, they're bad work. I discovered that the video feels too jarring and too inconsistent in its themes and emotions when I include them. They are slower parts, but they somehow make the video feel much more rushed.
I just ask that you be patient with me. This video's abysmal schedule is a massive source of stress, and I'm really trying to make a great example of my work without any gigantic structural hang-ups, and have been working past numerous technical hurdles. It has, so far, been really good, but these points are sore spots because I felt like they weren't really what you come to a Max0r video to experience.
So, I'm asking that you trust that I am trying to get rid of padding and only implement quality that is worth a re-watch.
This process has been bad for my mental health, and I will probably need to take a break for a day or two. The process of trying to fix this and often just working in a really difficult game to make videos for has overworked me. Maybe just for that time I'll figure out new ideas for how to transition and how to replace.
