Mentioning this again, if someone missed my earlier post about this:
Starting next release, the update format is changing.
For users to get more information about the update, the version format has been changed. For example, this is how the version number for the next release will be:
2 is the update number, 1 is the iteration and 0 indicates that it's a stable release whereas 1 would indicate it's experimental nature.
For example, the Bedrock version will look like this
This will provide the user with much more information and is being implemented to make the installation process more smoother.
Now coming to what is added, and showcased in the aforementioned video:
Sugarcane is added with a model, which makes it much more pleasing
Cactus also comes with a model now, and two cactus now spawn where a single one would've spawned.
Depth-Write POM is also updated, and more better support is implemented(screenshots in next dev post)
Copper block is updated
Oak planks are updated
Spruce planks are updated
Jungle planks are updated
Birch planks are updated
Acacia planks are updated
Dark Oak planks are updated
Cherry planks are updated
Crismon planks are updated
Warped planks are updated
Red Sand is updated
Dead Bush is updated
Calcite is added
Crying obsidian is added
Terracotta block now works with Polytone on Iris
There will be significant support for Bedrock Edition Raytracing as well as for Differed shaders, a glimpse of this has already been made available to premium tier holders at a former post.
All the planks now have a very different color palette from what it was, and this has made a huge difference in every build that has planks in them, which is the majority of all Minecraft builds and all the builds on the Optimum Realism server map.
Which makes me again, point out that there is a server test map for Optimum Realism, and you can try it out at ease by going to on Minecraft 1.20.1
This is a very big update, and is a huge step for the resourcepack's future.
I can't wait to get this update to you :)
