since it's come up a lot lately, it is completely ok to join as a patron at the lowest tier and immediately turn off recurring payments.

I greatly appreciate recurring patrons, but I also really appreciate all the support I get regardless. I'd much rather have someone become a patron for a month than not get that patron at all, presumably due to the perception that it's 'rude' to immediately cancel recurring payments

so yeah, to be explicit: one-time patreon payments are not rude, and are something I actively encourage!

part of the nature of patreon is trying to have an overturn of patreons: ie, I know I will not retain all of my patrons, so I just have to put out more stuff to entice more people to join again next month

anyway, as always, thank you so much to everyone who supports me, be it financially or otherwise!
