Pinups - Basil x Carolina Secret Backlog

These pieces were commissioned in secret for the last year and a half by two clients, NanukBerr and Jsenlol. It helped me practice drawing women and support myself while pleasing some of the bisexual fans of Spotting Basil who wanted to see this ship.

I didn't make them public because I feared the backlash of a perceived gay character (Basil) being "straight converted". To me these drawings are two friends having fun and definitely don't impact the canon of Spotting Basil and shouldn't be taken seriously.

Why am I releasing them now? Because after several patrons cheered me on in terms of drawing these two together -- I felt more comfortable. :) Thank you to everyone who did!

Basil's sexuality is complicated to me. I wrote him when I identified as gay but I also can't see him rejecting anyone who's trans? Ultimately, can't see him rejecting anyone really? He just prefers big buff men and will identify as gay though for the duration of the comic's timeline.

That being said, there's definitely parts of the canon narrative that reinforce this idea that he is pansexual -- even before I started drawing these as perhaps my own closeted pansexuality influenced the writing?
