Yes, Ch8 is still not out. The second part of the update will have that update though (more info on the first one when I write that post this week). I just wanted to show this cos I'm so excited to get to it.

Getting up out of bed, you glance around and notice a select few things out of place. Moved and adjusted in such a way that tells you you are being played with. Whoever had been in here didn't take anything. They watched you. Studied you. Got close enough to probably even kill you, but instead chose to only move a few things around. A competent and skillful asshole. Their actions evince that truth. They wanted you to come to grips with how they could have done anything they wanted, but instead decided to only move things around; someone with less perception may not have even noticed. Something else you knew that they knew.

Not Tsering. Despite all of his skills, stealth has never been one of them. He'd choose to walk out in the middle of a gunfight in hopes of persuading everyone to stop firing rather than to creep around the edge, hoping to go undetected. Your mysterious assailant? Probably. However, it does little to clarify who they are and why they are after you. A fellow Nightwalker? It seems logical enough. You haven't gone out of your way to make enemies, but it still happened. There are plenty of leaders here who dislike you. Is it so difficult to imagine them sending one of their charges after you?

At the very least, they succeeded in making you uncomfortable. You refuse to call this a victory for them, but you're tired and would rather have an extra extra pair of eyes, the mental thought has you throwing yet another glare at $hound.
