[DECADE SYSTEM - ON!]
[Congrats! You've been selected to be the host of the DECADE SYSTEM!]
[The powers of all Heisei and Reiwa Era Kamen Riders are now in your hands!]
[Please initiate your weekly draw, and continue with your first Quest!]
This was staring back at Tsukasa Inoue the moment he opened his eyes in a rubbish bin a few minutes ago. It took him a while to regain his senses, but the moment he got out of the trash can and was back on his feet, he knew that he wasn't on Earth anymore.
After all, he was just in a bustling street a few minutes ago when someone smacked him in the head with something blunt, and then he lost consciousness. The next second, he awoke in such a different place with what seemed to be his golden finger floating in front of him.
This was surely some kind of transmigration or isekai situation! He bets his soul, and even his mama's, that he was in another world!
Thankfully, the trash can wasn't dirty at all, or else the smell and disgusting trash would have stained his... school uniform. He double-checked his clothing to make sure, and sure enough, he was wearing a school uniform that looked similar to what male Japanese high schoolers wear during school hours, with the whole black jacket over a white shirt and long slacks look.
Huh.
That can be examined later. Now, onto more pressing matters.
"So... Can you hear me, system?"
[Simply thinking verbally can work as well, Host.]
"I'll stick to talking for now—Wow, I sound much younger now. Did my age regress or something?"
He muttered as he touched his Adam's apple... Or lack thereof.
[Yes, the Host's age has been regressed to fit the main cast easier.]
"That's interesting. Anyways, can you explain this Decade System to me?"
[The DECADE SYSTEM allows the Host to randomly draw from a pool of Kamen Riders and grant the Host one Rider's power from the Heisei and Reiwa Eras.]
[However, the power will only remain for a set amount of time, a week, before vanishing.]
[This action of pulling for a Rider's power and vanishing of said power is repeatable until the Host gets the special power in the pool of Riders or if the Host dies.]
Hmm, interesting. And there should be a Quest too, but he supposed that the main agenda should be prioritized first.
"Alright then. You said I have a weekly draw, right? Then let's gacha! Pull me a good one, System!"
[As you wish, Host.]
As the four words appeared in front of him, a gachapon suddenly manifested in front of him with a golden token floating beside it. Instinctively, he knew what must be done, so he reached out his arm.
Grabbing onto the token, he slotted it into the machine, letting it register the token before he moved to spin the lever. Something shifted in the internals of the machine before a single capsule dropped onto the ground.
A crack formed on the capsule before a burst of light erupted from within, causing him to close his eyes on reflex.
As the light dimmed to nothing, he reopened his eyes only for a floating text to pop up.
[You have received the power!]
[Rider Obtained: KAMEN RIDER KIVA]
[Equipment Obtained: Kibuckle, Kivat-Bat the 3rd]
"Kiva, huh? Not bad... Not!"
Don't get him wrong, Kamen Rider Kiva is no slouch. The Rider had decent feats and was pretty great in combat, but the problem was rather jarring; he needed Fangire blood to actually use the damn transformation!
[Do not worry, Host. Whenever you pull a Rider, you will inherit some of their properties to allow for smooth transformations. The System, however, does not provide you with anything to counteract or solve any weaknesses that may be felt other than the sole transformation, so please be advised.]
That's... Alright? Actually, that's great! Most transformations are locked behind some kind of bloodline or restrictions, so this makes things much easier!
"How do I take the buckle and Kivat out?"
[Strongly think about the item and the desire to retrieve it; the item will automatically appear in your hands.]
Let's try it out, then. Inoue closed his eyes and concentrated on both items that made up the Kiva transformation as a second later, he felt something heavy being wrapped around his waist. Glancing down, he grinned at the Kibuckle that was now around his waist.
"Hey, Ino, what'cha pondering about?"
Hearing the new voice above him, he opened his eyes and looked up only to find a mechanical bat flapping its wings above him.
"Kivat?"
"Yep, that's me! Kivat-bat the 0th! Or do you have another Kivat lying around? How could you?!"
He, since Inoue now knew his gender, started to cry fake tears before giving a laugh, soaring and perching on his shoulder.
"You seem to know me even though this is the first time I'm meeting you."
Inoue couldn't help but comment, since the Kivat was being a bit too friendly in his eyes. Not that there's any problem with that; it's just a bit weird that he was so chummy.
"Well, it's complicated, but in layman's terms, every sentient Rider equipment would have watched your whole life. That's why I can say that you're my best friend, since I think I know more about you than you know yourself, kakaka!"
"Bet. What's my favorite food?"
"Any form of Japanese cuisine, but KFC is your go-to since you're lazy like that."
"What's my favorite series to watch?"
"Tokusatsu series, especially the humorous ones, but you've started gravitating to anime nowadays."
"Actress?"
"Locally, I'm not going to say it, but we definitely know who you're referring to. Foreign-wise, it's Emma Watson, only during her Harry Potter days."
"Family member!"
"Your sis, but you won't admit to it since you're a tsundere."
"I am definitely not a tsundere!"
"Kakaka, that's what they always say!"
Damn, this guy knows me inside out!
"... My besto friendo!"
The two fist bumped; at least they attempted to, as Kivat-bat the 0th only had wings and a face.
[Host, I recommend you look at the Quest first before time runs out.]
A sudden message snapped him out of it as he looked at the System interface.
"Hit me. What's the first Quest?"
[Booting the Quest...]
[Quest: HERO ACADEMIA]
[Requirement: Successfully pass the Practical Entrance Exam of U.A. High's Hero Course.]
[Bonus: Get first place in the Entrance Exam for a special reward.]
[Reward: Guaranteed Pull of Main Kamen Rider.]
[Failure: Damnation to Host's Soul (1 Month)]
That just turned dark at the end. System, what?!
[You don't want to experience it, Host. This is my one and only warning.]
That sent a shiver down his spine.
"Man, this System sure is brutal... I like it!"
Kivat commented, prompting Inoue to blink at his words.
"You can see this?"
"Definitely! It's where I came from, after all! Pretty sure all sentient Rider equipment can."
Duly noted. And that answered his question on why he's wearing a school uniform. He's going to attend school. Again. Damn it.
[The exam starts in an hour, and travel time will take 30 minutes. The System suggests you get a move on, Host.]
"Right, right. Just a few more questions—"
[The System will answer it during the trip to the school.]

So, during the trip to U.A. High, he simply rode a taxi since there was some Japanese cash that he could spare in his wallet; he mentally asked the System about the questions that he had.
Sentient Rider equipment will retain their memories during the one-week time limit, even after vanishing back into the Rider Gacha.
Usage of the Rider's powers will not decrease or increase the time limit set by the System, so he could continuously use a Rider's power until he was out of stamina.
Stamina is required as a cost while in the transformation as a Kamen Rider, but there may be exceptions to this rule, such as his sustained damage during a fight or if something restricts his ability to transform.
From what he understood, he had a residence in a rather shady part of town, fully paid for. As for allowance, the government allocated some amount monthly due to his background, but it was only the bare minimum.
Well, this wasn't a question since he found out instantly, but he thankfully had an identity in this world in the form of an ID card with his face on it. Do you know how important an ID card is? Without it, he wouldn't be able to buy alcohol or guns. The normal stuff.
The System didn't tell him where he was transmigrated to. Where was he? The words "U.A. High" resonated within him, but he can't remember where! He had no clue other than a silhouette of a messy-haired boy that flickered in his head?
The trip only took 20 minutes, but eventually he paid for the fare and was dropped off at the front of U.A. High.
Let him tell you, this place was no joke. The buildings were as tall as skyscrapers, forming an "H," which was ironic since U.A. was spelled as "U" and "A." Where was the "H"?
Kivat agreed with his take from all the laughing he did.
Again, the System came in clutch as it started instructing him on where to go and who to talk to. 10 minutes of registration and waiting took place, but it went smoothly with how much Kivat and he were bickering around.
"Is this your Quirk? It's rather cute."
The woman at the registration desk asked with a light giggle, watching as Kivat zipped circles around her head.
"Uh—"
[Armor Creation. Kivat-bat the 0th is a by-product.]
The System advised, and he followed suit by reciting word by word to the lady. She looked at some documents in front of her before nodding, handing over a card and some brochures about robots?
"Everything looks to be in check. Good luck in the exam, Tsukasa-san."
"Thanks."
He gave her a polite wave, then glanced down at the brochure as Kivat perched on his shoulder. With the brochure in hand and the System’s directions in mind, he set off toward his assigned destination.
