I have a whole plan for the next year and it's all suuuper exciting, but I still want to make sure I'm in the right direction here. π
We are getting closer to our next goals and I'm now in a position to start making small improvements. I just need to figure out what sorts of improvements it's going to be.
I really want to give you lots of different and fun content, so this poll will help me focus on the right kind of "fun content" for you.

The only knowledge I had about romance games was when I accidentally romanced Alistair in Dragon Age and realized Bioware had romance in it's games! We grew up together, so it's all good! πππ

Although it's an unpopular main character trope against the "awkward / clutz with a heart-of-gold" or the "strong female character with no personality" MCs in popular otome/VN media, I'm probably always going to make angry bogwitch MCs with not so pretty personalities. I think in this time and age, this anger is justified and it *should* be. It's one of the few things that keep us awake. Thank you so much for your message and your support for all these years! I hope I get to entertain everybody for a long long time! π

2020-03-10 10:37:17 +0000 UTCSAME (so old, ugh). I stumbled upon Rinmaru through Azaleas Dolls and Doll Divine. I had no idea what a VN was or what otome meant until the original Ascension came out. It's been really exciting and such a treat to basically come into adulthood with Rin and her stories growing and flourishing with me (if that makes any sense).

2020-03-10 02:57:04 +0000 UTCObligatory tragic back story reveal: I've been following your work for over a decade, almost since the very first dollmakers on DollDivine. The tragedy is I am old lmao. But honest to goodness, the greatest thing has been watching you putting out stories and content that you love. I enjoy romance and otome games, but your unique brand of writing strong, sarcastic and angry heroines means so, so much to me. I too am angry and sarcastic, and to have stories with protagonists that reflect all that anger and all those flaws is cathartic in a major way. All of your characters are gritty and raw and flawed in a very realistic way, regardless of how fantastic the setting may be. And it is not only validating to read about these people, but a joy and a pleasure to watch you putting put more and more content that you enjoy as well. TL;DR that's what this whole word vomit was about: I enjoy myself as a reader most when you are enjoying yourself as an author, because your sense of humor and brilliant, often ugly and flawed but still beautiful character narratives are what I am here for. Thank you for all the effort and love you have put in over the years - I'll be here enjoying the ride.

I think the most I can do is to change the animated sprite's clothes/hair, but keep the smaller sprites & CGs as the canon look for Ascension. For OB, there will be skin/hair color options just like S1. There will be clothing changes too but it will be plot based changes. (Snowy places require warmer clothes etc.)

It's only a matter of time. I realize that my audience is mostly female, so it's only natural the male main character option isn't getting that many votes. But that certainly doesn't mean I won't make it happen. Like I said, it's just a matter of time. π Thank you sooo much for playing and for your beautiful message! ππ I think aside from a very very few exceptions, I've been incredibly lucky to have an amazing player base. I had so many supportive and encouraging messages/mails/comments, that it made getting past the whole "Ascension drama" much much easier. Ascension remake is definitely a product of incredible love. Not just mine but yours too, so I think it belongs to all of us now. I really hope both Ascension remake and all the future games will be worth the support and encouragement I'm getting. Again, thank you soooo much for your message! Hope you will enjoy allll the exciting future content cooking right now!π₯π₯π₯

I don't know if it's possible with this new style but I loved it when we could slightly customize Aida and some other characters n Ascension 2&3. Also in OB 1st season when we were given the chance to choose from 5 different looks for the main character. Sooo if it's possible could you ~pretty~please consider slight customization (e.g hairstyle and clothes and maybe accessories) as a suggestion? Thank you so much regardless for your hard work β€

I've been following you since you uploaded Ascension ch1 on your website and I simply loved how you improved since then, it feels like I've walked on this journey with you like a non-creepy, mute ghost (in a cheery way obvs). Anyway, I absolutely looooove OB and how the new Ascension is coming along. Once you said that you preferred writing cheeky, female heroines but just the fact that you put a "male MC" option in this poll means the world to me. I would love to play one of your games with that option if it's not too much trouble. I know you'll look at the poll and choose the one with the most votes but just so it's out there. Last but not least, thank you ever so much for holding on and keeping on doing this. I still remember when while developing Ascension ch4 you stopped saying you couldn't deal with Ascension related things anymore and I just want you to know that despite the difficulties that you might've found while expanding your business you've come incredibly far and you have to proud of yourself and your work 'cause we fans certainly are xx
