Roaming a smaller Everdawn...

Just a quick update: to keep the scope of our projects more realistic and allow for more frequent and regular updates, I’m making Roaming Everdawn a female MC-only game moving forward. This also aligns better with the direction I want to take with Larkylabs in the future. Khaien will still be available as both F! and M!, but the MC will be exclusively female starting from the next chapter.
That being said, I’m already halfway through setting up the chapters for Simulove, so now I can shift my focus back to Roaming Everdawn! My plan is to finish Roaming Everdawn Chapter 2 before moving on to the final chapter of Cursed Covenant.
So, it’s looking like the next couple of months will be all about Roaming Everdawn and Paper Masks. Just wanted to keep you all in the loop. 💜

If MC is going to be female by default, I am curious if a couple more hairstyles could be added? I frankly liked the dreads on male!MC more than the braids on female!MC I wouldn't expect it as soon as ch 2 mind but just thought I'd ask in any case I am a little sad since I liked the male!MC I set up despite the bugs but I think you've always had a good hand at writing women and I do agree that it's better to scale back than keep overreaching. It's always tempting to do more than realistically able.

While I did like working on Cursed Covenant, I still find myself working best on more defined F!MCs, so I will stick to that from now on. 💜

I remember playing rinmaru games and ascension in my pretransition days years and years ago and then randomly finding cursed covenant so many year later with m!mc available felt like finding a unicorn. I don’t play as female mcs anymore so if the futures for games to be f!mc only then I personally, unfortunately won’t be playing. Honestly I have also never found playing your m/m routes clunky or disappointing either. A lot of these style of games are f!mc focused so kinda sad that this is the direction it’s going, but it is understandable

2025-04-27 16:23:23 +0000 UTCI'm a little disappointed to hear this as well; Roaming Everdawn gave me so much nostalgia for Oathbreaker and Ascension and I always dreamed of having a male mc in those settings 😅 I have to wonder, though, that if Glam Pursuit is still being worked on, will it go through this treatment as well? And will Simulove be fem only?
