No, you don't have to be super-smart to follow what they're talking about during the spaceship stuff. I was a teenager when I first saw this (on VHS tape), and felt a little lost, but I got the gist of the story. Subsequent watchings - and years - allowed me to get some more of it, but I'm now 50 and still don't feel like I follow it all. And for a recommendation, I like to go with the really old stuff. So I recommend Key Largo and/or Maltese Falcon. Neither are on the top 250 list, but both feature the incomparable Humphrey Bogart at his finest. Black and White forever!

It's great to see younger generations discovering and appreciating these classic films, and I can only hope that they continue to be enjoyed for years to come.
