I love this movie. Good script, excellent acting where all the twitches and inflections in tone mean so much, and red herrings. My favorite piece of all though, is that house. It's beyond creepy - downright malevolent looking like a hunched brooding monster. The "full front" shot of approaching the house coming up over the hill kills me.

And the money was motivation to hire the investigator to look for her. But yes... "This was a crime of passion... not profit" 🙂
