Not sure if you caught this, but in that scene with Edward Norton and the payphone, there is some text on the phone booth (it's small and can be difficult to read) that says "No Incoming Calls Allowed...", so, that's a hint that the return phone call from Tyler wasn't real/couldn't exist! Also, age is just a number, it's all about how you feel inside :P
