I used to do it like really low level mma stuff, first round isn't so bad, but by the third round you're gasping for air, feels like you're breathing through a straw and getting pummelled in the face, lactic acid starts building up everywhere and it just burns all over

One of my favourite things re-watching it, that I'd learned from the DVD commentary (much like First Blood's, an amazing commentary from Stallone) that Butkus was Stallone's actual dog. Also, about the training... Never been a boxer, but I used to train in martial arts and it can be, but your body gets used to it and where at first, you're aching a lot for days after, before long that stops. Sessions were typically supposed to be 2hrs, but sometimes went to 3 or more hours. I'm not in that kind of shape anymore. Hope your hand feels better by the way. .. .how do you slice your hand on a door in the first place? What's it made of, knives?
