Big family - I'm one of 8 with 3 of us left. Brother was drafted out of high school in 69 to serve. He got PTSD and some years ago cancer from AO and made his trip to heaven a couple years ago. My other brother was like Forrest, but had other mental afflictions that weren't discovered till much later. My mom used to make me play the same songs, over and over and over and over and over... Patty Paige, Johnny Cash just to name 2 of about 20? My sisters used to play all the songs and it was with them I heard the 'current music.' At some point I got a 'portable'/'battery' powered record player and James Brown's "Poppas got a brand new bag" LOL I played that first record over and over and over and over and over and over till everyone else started to hide my player! But I'd find it and go at it again! I'm an OG Star Trekkie and proud of it! I saw the movie: "Star Wars" (1977) in that first Saturday morning and there was maybe 20 people there! I saw it Sunday too and again, there was only about 20 or so people. Tuesday news papers finally had a description of the movie and local reviews. That 2nd weekend there was a line 2 blocks long! I'm thinking it was 72 when 'we all' got "Have a Nice Day" t-shirts and buttons! Thee OG Emoji!!! When Star Trek: Generations came out I got the VHS, wore that out within a year and had to get another copy... Opps? My wife only laughs at me when I 'get stuck' as she says - when I watch movies or listening to songs over and over and over and over... Since I'm "Old as dirt" I want you to have fun and enjoy your 'work' lol Cause I've learned that you can learn and experience a great deal watching movies, and yes there's nothing better than 'the real thing' and having a "Kodak moment." Mid 60's to late 80's is Thee Golden Age of Cinema! 1990 is Thee Reissuance of Cinema! For me I love your reaction and Outro for Gump! Best one I've seen! Your style with the outtro's too! Excellent! "We" can tell when you're enjoying a movie and it clearly shows here! That's what I like! Thank you and "Team Whim" lol

So now you know why Forrest Gump (1994) is soo beloved. YAY!

Truuuuue--I forgot Jurassic Park was around this time! So sad I never got to see it in theaters. I think it's one of the best movies out there.

Whimsory

Hi! Welcome, glad to have ya! Thank you so much🤗

Pulp fiction one of my favorite movies . Still remember vividly when this movie beat it for best picture. Quentin’s statement about losing to this movie is something else . I won’t repeat it . 🤪 great reaction. Well done . 😊

In October 1994 Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction, The Shawshank Redemption, and Jurassic Park were all showing in the theaters. It was a great time for cinephiles!

Glen Wood

Tom Hank's acting in this movie is top notch, especially the scenes when he really has to be emotional. Makes me cry every time he says good bye to Jenny's grave.

New hat!?

@Whimsory "I'm back!" Where's that from?!? OH! You may not have seen it yet... Here's a recommendation: "Dances with Wolves" (1990) <- A renaissance year for cinema!!! Incredible year!!!

Great pick ! Hope all is well.

Every time I just picture a lil Forrest Gump with a vacuum just delighted to be stealing all my tears. "Niagara Falls, Frankie Angel." But that...was another movie.

Forrest Gump is one of those movies I can sit and watch literally any time it's on
