Yeah, back off you elistists. Good movies don't even worry about the lists. Plus it's not like we don't suggest off list movies.

Great after discussion as usual. Your version of "Some Guys Have All the Luck" song is a bonus. 😉 From an article on the film: Juror No. 9 (Joseph Sweeney, the oldest man on the jury)--is often seen in full-frame close up for emphasis, because he has a way of cutting to the crucial point. Technically it should have ended in a mistrial, since Juror #8 commits juror misconduct when he introduces new evidence ( the second knife ), conducts his own investigation in the boy’s neighborhood, and leads the jury in experiments based on speculation instead of facts which were introduced at trial (e.g., the jury guesses how long it takes an elevated train to go past a given point, or whether the woman who claimed to have seen the murder across the tracks was or wasn’t nearsighted ). Also of note is how often these people tell each other not to be offended by offensive remarks. Bigoted language, discussions about people from “slums,” and personal insults are brushed off by calls for civility—not for the assholes to become civil, but for the offended to be civil in responding to the assholes. Some people still do this now. John Fiedler ( juror #2 ) because of his size and voice, was typecast beginning early in his career for delicate, quiet, nerdy characters, although he also played some sneaky villains. 👍K.L.

Ah! I’ve loved this movie since I first saw it in the 90s. They actually did a remake in the 90s that was also very good. Awesome reaction!!

I am only about 2 minutes into this but if anyone is being rude to Whimsory for her list, they should be tried by 12 angry men.

😺Whim!!! 😺 To hold a preliminary vote goes against the judges directions. Yes, they don't make movies like this no more! BOO! Henry Fonda - of the Fonda Family of Actors & Actresses! I haven't seen these since the late 1960's lol I haven't seen this nor remember much about it but I 'know' it's a "Great Show" "Mr. Smith goes to Washington" lol FYI: I'm pretty sure there wasn't AC back in those days lol Thank you 😺Whim!!! 😺 I saw Kitty! <- I call 'him' kitty cause I don't know his/her name :(

Henry Fonda was in a lot of really good movies. Two of my favorites are Fail Safe (1964) and Once Upon a Time in the West (1968). Also, I love your tier list. It's that sort of thing that makes your reactions so great.

Raxas

Henry Fonda was one of my favorite actors from back then. Great movie. Really questions how you and others judge people.

Faron Henderson

Another great choice, Whims. Keep being the best!

I Own Two Hats

Oh this is going to be great!
