Whim?!? "Eddie & The Cruisers" (1983) - Incredible movie with Incredible soundtrack; there's also "Eddie & The Cruisers II: Eddie Lives" (1989).

2024-11-16 06:54:30 +0000 UTCYeah, I can see how they would have a hard time finding actual teens who could perform these intense scenes without any emotional trauma. But WOW, when they do, it works! Linda Blair had to be the all-time champ at that. She was SO impressive. I'm glad they gave her a cameo in this. Also Jodie Foster in Taxi Driver. I really didn't like that movie, because her character was such a helpless victim. She was more impressive in "The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane". Seemingly vulnerable, but fully capable of handling herself. And Tatum O'Neal was just 12 when she had to pull off a truly wrenching emotional scene with the late great Walter Matthau in "The Bad News Bears". Maybe the toughest thing Linda had to cope with, was her unrequited love for Martin Sheen. She said she fell in love with him while filming "Sweet Hostage". He was way older and married, so it couldn't happen for her. There was a really emotional scene between those 2 at the end, when she read her beautiful poem to him. Those 2 were GREAT together.

2024-11-04 17:03:02 +0000 UTCI hope you had a nice Halloween Whimsory. We had good weather here last night, so the neighborhood kids were having a great time. I still remember how disappointed I felt on Halloween of '69. We were going to move away, 2 weeks later, so I wanted my last Halloween in Florida to be the BEST EVER. But NO. It rained ALL NIGHT. I never got the chance to go out. 😭 Some kid showed up the next night though, trying to scam my mom out of some candy. He said the Governor of Florida officially declared Halloween to be November 1st that year, because of the rain. 🤣 My mom said "Oh really? The Governor said that? Nice try kid." But she gave him some candy anyway. I was like "Whoa, REALLY? Let me get out there with ya!" But my mom wouldn't let me. She didn't want the neighbors to think I was a little scammer too. 😂

2024-10-31 22:17:34 +0000 UTCI briefly dated a cute girl who had a kidney stone attack. It broke my heart, to see her crying from the pain. She broke my heart again, when she broke off the relationship. Then I was the one crying. 😭
