100DOS/Mythic and Roll20 Partnership

100DOS and Mythic are now officially supported by Roll20, and alongside this we will gain access to a Compendium and market options that are slowly being built. So let's explain what this means and then get into the updates from the Mythic 5.1 Beta. (also the Mythic dice are on their way)

So, what is coming for 100DOS games, including Mythic, Armory and Medieval, to Roll20? An official compendium and a brand new automated character sheet. The compendiums will offer automated equipment, weapons, attachments, and special ammo options to quickly select and build your character and NPCs with. This also means a bestiary to supply quick and easy access to creating NPCs. The Character sheet is being rebuilt with these features in mind and is being based on the "Mythic 4.0" Character Sheet that is currently offered and updated for Mythic 5.0 and 5.1 on Roll20.

Though, these take time and many MANY hours of development. When we entered the marketing and compendium partnership with Roll20, we were warned that it could take 300+ hours to develop these.

Though, there is now a possibility of an auto-attacker AND auto-evader down the road, if Warhound has the time and patience.

So, while these updates are being made to the balancing spreadsheet to assist in quick updates and additions to the compendium, it's also being spruced up with a brand new balancing system and new ways to balance more than ever before. This includes ways for these development spreadsheets to apply attachments to weapons and better balance weapons based on their optimal DPS. It means we can track more and offer better balancing patches in the future.

The new balancing system will also price differently than before. This is an update to the new balancing system that was introduced to Mythic 5.1 beta and will be available when the full game releases. This is based on both feedback and improving how DPS is calculated. This also will mean that prices could wildly vary in price compared to what they were before.

Alongside the pricing update, there are also rebalances coming to over half of the weapons in the game. This is to help improve the amount of viable weapons and to help reduce the capabilities of other weapons that may have been overtuned. Those who are still playing 5.0 and are waiting for the full 5.1 version to release, you'll obviously see the greatest amount of changes compared to what you are using now.

Covenant weapons are getting a lot of changes in how they are offered to players, as well. First, a lot of these weapons will have lower prices than before, as Overheat, Charge, and Recharge rules now modify how the DPS tracker figures rate of fire. Weapons that are heavily affected by these rate of fire modifiers will see price reductions. You might think "Wow, my Plasma Rifle is cheaper!" and you'll now see that this is because you've always had overheat on the weapon. But finally, it's shown in the pricing and this penalty gives you a discounted price.

Covenant weapons also get a new Pattern system. This pattern system allows you to modify the weapon when purchasing it, which adds to the price but offers permanent effects. Covenant weapons also now have a system in which you can purchase and modify built-in smartlink scopes. You're able to choose up to two magnifications, from 1x to 12x.

And now, lets rush through some changes.

More is being done, but a lot of upkeep is currently in order. That's the biggest setback to getting more complete. Everything in the book must be added to the development spreadsheet. While doing this, I am going through everything to rebalance anything that needs it. This is also to fill the tools needed for creating the automated compendium for Roll20 (and possibly Foundry). Everything from every single special rule, every trait, every weapon, every weapon modification, every special ammo, every equipment, every attachment, everything piece of armor, every permutation, every armor ability, every armor variant, every vehicle, every vehicle variant, every vehicle modification, and every bestiary entry (and more).

The work is going smoothly, but it's just very time consuming. At least this means everything is being looked at for retuning.

Thank you all for your support, these updates couldn't happen without your support, feedback, and help. More to come, as the dice are finally on their way! I'll have more about that soon.
