Pick Your Poison, Also Magic

While work on Mythic continues, I've begun work on a small project and a very BIG project for after 6.0's release.


The smaller project is introducing chemical weapons, poisons, and toxins for use. This covers a large range of options, from Mythic-specific chemical weapons for Covenant and UNSC factions, all the way down to realistic toxins and food poisonings.

Mythic gets its own options for both UNSC and Covenant factions, which range from hyper-deadly devices the GM can use for their campaigns, all the way down to simple espionage-style paralyzation agents.

The Armory, on the other hand, gains a nice chunk of modern poisons and toxins. These range from simple food poisoning, eating wild berries, and scales up to sarin gas, pufferfish toxins, and more. For now, if you join the discord, you'll be able to ask for early access to these. Else, you'd have to wait for them to be put into Mythic, or be placed into their own setting-agnostic splatbook. This could take some time.


Work on the Skull Modifier splatbook is almost complete, but it needs cleanup and a double-check. It's also made more for Mythic 6.0, but I'm also waiting for the cover to be finished. Joining the discord can also get you early access to this content.


Work on the still-unnamed Mystic/Magic/Fantasy splatbook has restarted/continued. Restarted as in I redid the playable races and worked the Trait system more into them. The current planning and designing stages are early, but the Trait System for creating races, monsters, etc is working like a charm. Once again, this is another thing you can get direct access to if you join the discord. You can use it to create your own quick and easy bestiary entries AND playable race/soldier type entries. It doesn't take much work and I have an in-depth document to walk you through the process!

The magic system is also going to be class-free, unlike most systems. Instead, magic is an experience investment. Where someone could be getting much better at shooting you or stabbing you, you can dump your experience into some crazy magics. The more experience you spend over time, the more options that are opened up to you, and the more you can modify your spells. Most of this work is planned and ready, it just needs the spells themselves to start getting created.

A classless magic system doesn't mean there arent classifications on WHAT type of magic user you are, though. Players are able to choose which Characteristic they use when using their magic, and that dictates the type of magic user they are, from Warlock to Bard, from Druid to WIzard. There are 10 total classifications which will have further depth created to them after Mythic 6.0 releases early this year.



Now for some Mythic updates. Basically a small runthrough of some changes.

Melee weapons finally got their rebalance and retuning. The biggest change comes from certain types and sizes of weapons, and the pricing of weapons. They're now priced based on the DPS system that the ranged weapons use, which is now much more accurate based on the capabilities of the weapon as used in a full Turn.

New vehicles and vehicle variants were added. This includes the Command Mantis, a Mantis that can be air-dropped and orbital dropped into battle. You also get a new tank option, the M808S. This is a hybrid between the M808-series tanks and the M820 tanks that show up later in Halo's timeline. And then from there, new Warthog variants were added for each type. Oh, and I gave the Gungoose its dual grenade launchers, so make sure to have fun with them.

The pricing was once again retooled for vehicles, following changes to weapons and stat tracking. The most heavily changed pricing comes from air vehicles, while Civilian vehicles and vehicles without weapons were not touched. 


Prelates have been retooled to better fit their lore. They're now low Toughness super soldiers who EXCEL in melee and agility. Very fast, very agile, very much a glass cannon with multiple ways of protecting themselves. These changes, alongside their unique buffing system, lets them feel unique compared to all of the other super soldiers and alien species that players can choose from.

Thank you everyone for your support, it's helped me get through this shoulder injury. Though now instead of surgical help, they want me to suffer through physical therapy 3 times a week. On an injury caused my movement. Doesn't sound like it's going to go well, honestly. Especially with me having to pay for the gas to travel to these places THREE times a week. That's a bank account killer right there.

And if this doesn't work, like I know it wont, I'll be forced to get steroid shots. Guess we'll see if that heals it up.

Everything interchangeable, everything modifiable, everything expandable. I want to make sure 100DOS is a system you can use how you please! (just dont sell it)
