In December 2011 of the Western calendar, after extensive discussions and negotiations, the United Nations had reached an agreement to allocate the newly developed Dawn Drug based on each country’s population due to its limited production.
In a classroom, the wall-mounted TV was broadcasting this global news about the Dawn Drug—the hottest topic worldwide. Meanwhile, the classroom door slid open, and a beautiful girl with a single tea-colored ponytail walked in.
"Hey~ Miyamoto-senpai, here to see Komuro-kun again, huh? You two are really close!" teased a girl sitting near the door as soon as she spotted the new arrival.
"It's not like that! We're just childhood friends, not what you're all thinking!" Miyamoto Rei protested, her face instantly turning red. Despite her denial, it was clear to everyone that her blush was from embarrassment, and by now, after more than a year, the truth was well known to most.
"Come on~ there's no use denying it! We all know the truth!" The group of students began teasing even louder, with a mix of boys and girls chiming in.
"You guys!" Rei’s face was bright red, but she was too flustered to respond.
"Alright, alright, let's stop teasing Miyamoto-senpai!" A voice cut through the teasing, offering her a momentary escape from the embarrassing situation.
"Thanks, Hisashi!" Rei said gratefully, smiling at the boy who had spoken up.
"It's nothing, they're just playing around. You're here for Takashi, right? That guy's sleeping in the corner. He’s been out cold all afternoon," the boy said, pointing to the far-right corner of the classroom, where, sure enough, a student was resting his head on the desk, deep in slumber.
"Seriously! Takashi is always like this!" Rei sighed with relief when she spotted the person she was looking for, but she couldn’t help but feel frustrated seeing him sleep through all the commotion.
"You know how Komuro is," chimed in another girl who approached them. "Rei, you should be used to his habits by now."
"Oh, Saya, you’re here too," Rei greeted warmly, turning to her friend—a beautiful girl with striking pink twin-tails and glasses. Though Saya often carried an air of superiority, like everyone owed her something, she always softened a bit in front of Rei.
"Ah, Takagi-san is here too! Looks like the childhood friends have gathered! It's about to be a love triangle war!" someone shouted from the crowd, reigniting the teasing.
"Shut up, you idiots!" Saya snapped, not as tolerant as Rei. Her sharp glare was enough to disperse the crowd, making them back off with a mix of laughter and feigned fear.
With the room finally quiet, Saya gave a satisfied nod. "Let’s go wake that lazy idiot. School’s over, and he’s still sleeping!" She grabbed Rei’s hand, leading her toward the slumbering Takashi.
Meanwhile, the boy who had helped earlier cast a sympathetic glance at his sleeping friend. With a helpless smile, he picked up his bag, ready to head home with the group once they managed to wake him up.
Slap!
"Get up! It's morning!" Saya walked over to the boy and slapped the back of his head, shouting loudly.
The boy, rudely awakened, groggily lifted his head, his eyes unfocused as he stared blankly at the two girls in front of him. "Huh?"
[MC POV]
Just moments before being sucked into the black hole that had appeared on his computer screen, I hadn't felt fear—only frustration. Given my experience from reading light novels and watching anime for over ten years, it was almost obvious what was happening: I’d hit the transmigration jackpot. But what annoyed me was the timing.
Just as I had given up hope of crossing over, it suddenly happened—without warning! It felt like fate was playing with me. How unfair! And with that thought, I had been pulled into the vortex and blacked out.
A sudden burst of pain jolted me awake. I vaguely heard someone saying, "It's morning, get up," though the words seemed off somehow. Still too groggy to think about it, I slowly raised my head, my mind foggy. At first, I couldn’t clearly make out the people in front of me, and all I could do was mutter a confused, "Huh?"
The next second, my mind cleared, and I realized I was standing in front of two stunning girls. One had a brown ponytail, and the other had pink twin-tails and glasses.
Although I wasn't particularly into girls with glasses—in fact, I kind of disliked them—this girl was so gorgeous that her glasses could easily be overlooked. I rubbed my eyes and blinked a few times, trying to process what was happening. My heart raced as I took in my surroundings, the classroom atmosphere feeling both familiar and completely alien at the same time.
Whoa! Those... are impressive! Both of them... could this be the legendary F-cup? I can't believe I'm this close to such beauty! The heavens have blessed me!
"Where are you looking?!" The pink-haired girl, now blushing furiously under my gaze, clenched her fist and smacked me hard.
"Ow!" Still disoriented from waking up, I instinctively turned my head in the direction of the hit.
Suddenly, my vision went completely dark, and my head felt like it had sunk into something... soft and fragrant? What is this? I wondered, instinctively rubbing my head left and right.
"Ah! Takashi, get out of there!" It turned out that when the pink-haired girl had hit me, my head had fallen straight into the brown ponytailed girl’s chest.
But since her bust was so generous, my face was completely buried in it, enveloping me in darkness.
The brown-haired girl, already flustered from my previous ogling, now turned an even deeper shade of red, clearly mortified by the situation. If there was a hole in the ground, she'd probably jump in to escape the embarrassment.
After a few moments, I realized something was off. Hearing the girl's shout, I quickly pulled my head back, finally able to see again. In that instant, it became all too clear why my vision had been obscured just moments earlier.
Even someone with my thick skin felt a little embarrassed. After all, this was my first time being in such intimate contact with a woman—and such a beautiful one at that. Inside, I was secretly thrilled!
"Komuro, what's gotten into you today? Did you sleep too long and lose your mind?" The pink-haired girl huffed angrily, still fuming.
Komuro? Who's that? And who was the "Takashi" that almost suffocated me earlier? My head was full of questions. "What? Who are you calling? Who's Komuro?"
As soon as I spoke, the room fell into an awkward silence. Both girls froze in place, staring at me in shock. Even the boy who had been standing nearby watching the scene unfold hurried over, joining them in looking at me with wide, astonished eyes.
"Why are you all staring at me like that? Is there something on my face?" I asked, confused by their looks.
"Takashi! Are you okay?" After a moment of silence, the girl with the ponytail was the first to react, anxiously grabbing my hand and even touching my forehead. "No fever... what's going on?"
"Hey! Komuro, what are you up to?" The girl with twin tails stood with one hand on her hip and pointed at me with the other, challenging me.
"Yeah! Takashi, what's got into you? Did you just wake up all confused?" The handsome guy who had just approached also looked at me with a concerned expression.
Their reactions bewildered me even more. It seemed these three knew me well, but I had no recollection of them.
From what they were saying, both "Komuro" and "Takashi" referred to me. What nonsense is this? My name was [], and I had not changed it. When did I become Komuro Takashi? This was ridiculous!
Wait a minute... Komuro Takashi... Isn't that a Japanese name? It was only then that I noticed the clothes that I and the other three were wearing.
This!! This!!! They were Japanese school uniforms. I and the handsome guy were wearing blazers, while the two girls were in authentic sailor uniforms. At a glance, it was obvious these weren't cosplay costumes but real school uniforms!
Suddenly, I realized I had transmigrated.
Could it be that I had been transported to Japan and into the body of a high school student?
It seemed so.
No wonder I felt something was off—it was because they were speaking Japanese, which I wasn't used to.
I wasn't supposed to know Japanese, except for a few words picked up from watching Japanese dramas. Yet now, I could speak and understand it fluently.
Was this the advantage of transmigration? If I could return, I might even find a decent job as a translator in a Japanese company, provided I retained my language skills.
"Takashi! Takashi! What's wrong?" The girl with the ponytail looked worried as she shook my shoulder, bringing me back to reality.
"Ah? Ah! It's nothing, nothing!" I hastily waved my hand to reassure her.
"You really don't seem like yourself today!" The girl with twin tails and the handsome guy looked at me with concern.
"Um... I just woke up a bit confused... My head's a little fuzzy, and my memories are a bit blurry..." I came up with an excuse to brush it off, though it was rather unconvincing.
"Huh? Takashi, should we take you to the hospital? It's better to be safe than sorry!" Despite the flimsy excuse, the girl with the ponytail seemed genuinely worried for me.
"You..." I looked at the beautiful girl in front of me, who seemed to genuinely care. I felt a sense of happiness—finally, a beautiful girl cared about me! But I hesitated to ask, unsure of her name.
"I'm Rei, Miyamoto Rei!" Just as I was wondering how to ask for her name, she provided it, saving me the trouble.
"Oh... right, right..." I memorized the name. So, this beautiful girl was called Miyamoto Rei... Miyamoto Rei? Huh?
"Hey! Komuro, you haven’t forgotten us, have you? I'm Saya—Takagi Saya!" The twin-tailed girl named Saya seemed worried as she noticed my dazed expression.
"Takashi, I’m your friend, Igou Hisashi! Did you wake up confused?" The handsome guy chimed in, leaving me feeling a bit annoyed. Why interrupt my moment with the two girls?
Wait a minute. Suddenly, something felt off to me. Komuro Takashi—myself, Miyamoto Rei—the girl with the ponytail, Takagi Saya—the twin-tailed girl, and Igou Hisashi—the handsome guy... why did these names sound so familiar? Wasn’t this...?
Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my head and then collapsed to the ground.
