Troi sure was pleasant to look at this episode. I am glad TNG has a half-Betazoid as a significant character. The ‘romantic’ dynamic between her and Ral was weird, not really convincing or believable to me. An interesting aspect is confirmation of Riker’s positive character with the dialogue of Riker handling Ral in Ten Forward. Riker to Ral: "If you can bring happiness into Deanna's life [which we know unlikely Ral could with that weird not-believable chemistry Ral had w/Troi], nothing would please me more ... Deanna is just the woman to bring some meaning to your sorry existence." Riker may want Troi (at least he cares about her happiness) and likely would think odd for Troi to be with sleaze Ral, but Riker was just stating fact with a confident smile on his face. Lastly, I like episodes with Ferengi. The Ferengi are an interesting aspect in TNG.
