First, happy new year. I hope the holiday season treated you all well. This season is typically difficult with all the outside pressures on what we should be doing and how things should be. But, we know, as legends, that we create our own reality and experiences. So I hope you gave yourselves a bit of love and appreciation for showing up the best you could, and I hope you are recovering easy.

I wanted to send a note to my Self Portrait Club saying I'm sorry for dropping off-- the holidays swooped me, and I hope I didn't let you all down too much. There was a definite need for a break, but I failed to communicate that. SO. The Self Portrait Club prompts will resume in February!

I am releasing a single. A song! On all distribution platforms!
The song is called "Hi, Me." I wrote it, recorded it, and finished a music video for it 6 years ago...

For those who were unaware: I've been having trouble being okay with releasing my music. I don't know why.
Maybe because it feels really vulnerable. Maybe because I was expecting something great to come from it but didn't know how to make that happen?
Ironic, because the song is about what happens when I go into things expecting a benefit. When, I *know* I'm much more fulfilled when I approach my art with excitement WHILE I'm creating. I was putting a lot of pressure on what happens AFTER it is made. Gave me a 6 year block.
But block no more! Letting this stuff out so I can start sharing my new works, too.
As always, I appreciate your support, your patience, your understanding of this artist life. I am excited for this new year and hope you are, too.
