Two personal favorite Cat-Centered scenes from your fic are 1.) When Cat finally relents and takes a bath to ease the contraction pains. Just him and the stow-a-way in the tub trying to relax, enjoying some personal time together with no outside stress or fear. Guards down..... just present in the moment and what is happening between the two of them. Then, 2.) Cat sitting, and rocking, in the rocking chair outside the General store. The brisk air calming him while the warm sun rays warm and relax him. So much so, that Cat ends up falling asleep and taking a nap. Something that he apparently never does! This scene was just so beautiful in my minds eye. All that bright, warm sunlight filtering in through the Pine trees, casting a warm and gentle glow over everything. Ugh, wish I could experience something as serene as this.
