Which anime movies should we watch?

edit: oh i just noticed you said movies, not series, so i guess the biggest part bellow is not for right now. anything ghibli, Spirited Away gt an oscar, as for series.... well i guess i got a bit too excited: ---- original text Steins;Gate (Scifi) is widely considered one of the best, plays with your feelings a lot especially in the later episodes, pretty good speculation content as well, albeit might be a bit slow in the middle (24 episodes) Death Note (crime?) is iconic too, quite a lot darker than steins;gate and a bit more western and less animelike; lots of ethical discussions can be had at the end; the mind games will leave you in awe. but quite long and the first 26 episodes are the best, after it looses a bit. (37 episodes) full metal alchemist brotherhood (fantasy) quite action heavy, a lot more than the other two, while it both has moral discussion possibilities, i am not sure it lends itself well to reaction, since its quite long (64 episodes) all of those 3 are absolute long standing classics (and under the best 10 in almost any list you find) if you want something more modern that gets more youtube hits (albeit the classics probably will always get hits and are always searched up), either way more modern: musoku tensei (fantasy) but its very animey and while undoubetly good not on the level of the former mentioned all time classics. Is a classic heroic journey but very animey and on a longer time scale. (not the full story is adapted yet and already 48 episodes, albeit it might be better to pick it up shortly before the 3rd season starts to maximize youtube hits) demonslayer season 4 is currently airing, so starting to react to season 1 might also bring you hits, but i have not seen it so no idea how good it is, just know its very popular I personally would recomment reacting to classics first however, it also helps you later understand other anime. If you want good starting anime that are classics and for 'beginners' to ease into (albeit not all are under the best 10): samurai shamploo, cowboy bebop and death note are also good. (albeit that is from a western cultural perspective, so i dont know how much that applies to you two either way, i tried to give you an overview over possibilites, my personal favorite to see would still be steins gate (albeit not as western as the otehr 3 it wont be a complete culture shock) and its my personal favorite
