I read the book before watching the film and in my opinion the book is so much better. Doctor Sleep is a great film. Here is some sugesting: The Descent (2005), 28 Days Later (2002), Dog Soldiers (2002). These are british movies. Some other classics are The Craft (1996) and Ginger Snaps (2000) which is one of my favourite movies.

please consider doing Doctor Sleep (2019), the sequel to The Shining, it's one of the best horror sequels ever in my opinion, if you do the director's cut which is 3 hours long would be the best version to watch, thank you.
I notice you with the movies you usually watch two films that are either connected by theme, director or are a direct sequel, one posts on movie munchies, the other on asian angels, like how Get Out and Us are both directed by Jordan Peele, so I will name a series of two connected movies so you could maybe do one on either channel so that people watch both;
Shaun of the Dead (2004) and Hot Fuzz (2007) (both films are from the same director and stars, Shaun of the Dead is a comedy horror, Hot Fuzz is an action comedy, there is also a third movie that is a sci-fi comedy called The Worldβs End (2013))
Goodfellas (1990) and The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) (both films directed by Martin Scorsese who after Steven Spielberg may be the most famous and beloved director in America, these two films are some of his most successful and popular movies, both are crime dramas and are based on true stories)
Psycho (1960) and Psycho II (1983) (Psycho is one of the most influential movies ever made, a horror movie that has stood the test of time, Psycho II is an excellent sequel, both feature shocking twists and turns that would be good for reactions)
Unbreakable (2000) and Split (2016) (These films are both directed by M. Night Shyamalan who did The Sixth Sense and Signs, Unbreakable is my favorite movie of his, also if you watch Split there is an after credits scene that you will definitely want to watch, trust me.)
Oldboy (2003) and The Handmaiden (2016) (Two great films from south korean director Park Chan-Wook, Oldboy is a revenge thriller, The Handmaiden is a psychological thriller, Both are incredible films, Oldboy was remade in 2013 in english, DO NOT watch that version)
Rush Hour (1998) and Rush Hour 2 (2001) (Two fun silly action comedy films, you girls would love these movies, there is a third movie Rush Hour 3 (2007) if you enjoy these)
The Rock (1996) and Face/Off (1997) (Both very entertaining action movies starring Nicolas Cage)
Total Recall (1990) and True Lies (1994) (Two classic fun action movies starring legendary action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger, True Lies is directed by James Cameron who did Titanic and Avatar)
Also more scream movies would be good, ok I will stop now, thank you if you read all this lol.

This movie has many interpretations, but I think basically the Hotel and the ground that it is on is evil and hungry. They briefly mention it was built on an Indian burial ground which may have cursed the hotel. I think the hotel especially wants souls that can "shine" like Danny.
The sequel to this movie DR. SLEEP is underrated in my view, and really worth watching. It follows Danny Torrance as an adult and features a great villain.
You asked for some horror movie suggestions so I will give you some, okay I'm going to give you a lot.
CLASSICS FROM THE EIGHTIES
A Nightmare on Elmstreet - This is directed by Wes Craven, the same guy who directed SCREAM
Hellraiser - This is from writer/director Clive Barker
Gremlins - This one is more horror comedy and set at Christmas
Fright Night - Also horror comedy
Child's Play -Slasher/Horror comedy about a very bad doll
The Fly -Horror love story.
MORE RECENT FILMS
Ready or Not - Very violent, more fun than scary
M3GAN - This one would be good to pair with Child's Play
The Conjuring - I think you'd actually find this one very scary
Evil Dead 2013 - Yeah, this one you'd find scary
Malignant - Kind of a mystery, kind of a slasher, but 100% crazy
Talk To Me - Australian movie. I thought it was great
Barbarian - You'll never stay in an Air BnB again.
I could go on, but it would be great fun to watch any of these with The Angels.

For horror I gotta always say the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre from 1974. I also think you ladies would love The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Chi and Hella reacted to it and it was fun, same with the Star Wars trilogy from 1977+. I would also suggest some classics like Stand by Me, The Goonies, The Sandlot, and The Neverending Story. These aren't scary but they're fun American classics. Either way, your reactions are always great Tien and Lan.

When I heard "Hello Honey" I first thought you had made a mistake and accidentally uploaded a Family Guy reaction...normally you only use this greeting for Family Guy reactions.π
The Shining is really a special work of art. It is considered one of the best movie adaptations of a novel, but it is very different from the Steven King novel. Steven King doesn't like the movie that much, probably because the movie is much more popular than the book.
The movie has many interpretations, I personally like the one that is closest to the book the best. Namely that the hotel has something like its own evil consciousness and basically collects souls.
I think the photo shows all the people/souls that the hotel has collected so far.
There are many other theories about the meaning of the movie and even today new theories are regularly added. If you are interested in the topic, it is definitely worth doing some research on YouTube, there are countless good analyses of the movie.
Movie recommendation that I would like to make.
Horror Movies
Room 1408 is another great Steven King novel movie adaptation. I actually like the movie better than The Shining.
The American remakes of The Ring and The Grudge. Probably two of my favorite horror movies.
Hereditary is probably one of the best horror movies of our time. Many even compare it to The Exorcist.
The Barbadook is a very good psychological horror movie.
I don't think IT Follows is that well known. Maybe not one of the best horror movies but I definitely recommend it.
Other Movies
Highlander: There Can Only Be One is a cult fantasy movie from the 80s.
The Bourne trilogy, Jason Bourne and The Bourne Legacy are some very good spy thrillers with Matt Damon.
Pacific Rim is a great Kaiju movie. Kaiju movies are movies with big monsters, mostly from Japan.
Terminator 1 & 2. 1 is a cult sci-fi horror classic from the 80s and part 2 is one of the best action movies ever made.
Kick Ass 1 & 2 are superhero parodies.
Zoolander 1 & 2 are two comedie movies with Ben Stiller.
So that's enough for now. Of course I would love to see a Star Wars reaction from you Ladies. Just remember to watch episodes 4, 5 and 6 first.
Personally I would skip Disney Star Wars, most of what Disney did in the Star Wars universe wasn't very good.
That was another awesome reaction ladies, keep it up.π

As you asked in intro, I have many movies I'd like the Angels and/or Munchies to react to but as a current top 3 that I think would be good reactions- Misery (1990), Taken (2008), Prisoners (2013)

Fantastic reaction, Angels. There is a documentary movie about The Shining. It is called Room 237 (2012). I think you would find it very interesting.
There are multiple interpretations of the ending:
Jack's spirit is absorbed by the Overlook
The photograph may symbolize Jack's spirit being absorbed by the Overlook, a malicious force that becomes more apparent as the film progresses.
Jack has always been at the Overlook
The photograph may also suggest that Jack has been reincarnated and keeps finding his way back to the hotel. This is supported by Grady telling Jack that he's always been the caretaker.
One of those theories is supported by the sequel, but I can't say which one.
Yes, you should watch Star Wars. Start with the original trilogy (1977 β 1983).
