Full-length Starship Troopers

Full-length Starship Troopers

This movie has one of my favorite scenes in any movie. @ 52:51 when Kitten is laughing at the drill sergeant and he makes him run around the barracks. There's just a random drill sergeant passing by, Bronski, that he tells to "keep pace", he's looking at his watch when given the order, he looks up, pulls out his beating stick and yells "MOVE!!!" hahahahaha I still crack up every time I see that scene.

So far I'm enjoying your reactions especially this one, one of my favorites. if you ever want to kill some of them all you need is a meta quest 3, they have this game on there and its VR so your actually in the game. I'll be riding with you Angels for awhile. might I suggest , Black Phone or the fly (1986)

Saints_Madness

Just catching up.... I think the term you girls are looking for is "plot armor" where a character is protected from being taken out primarily due to their importance in the story (which applies to most main characters who rarely die early on in a film).

Respect to the act9rs who put so much love and respect into a movie, which most will never remember. There was so much passion and commitment that they put into their rolls. This is a Mona Lisa of movies and I will not hear any different. This is before all the new laws and restrictions on movies with actors nowadays. They will never get the respect they deserve for fully committing to the propaganda that is the role of this film. This movie is pure art to never be replicated. Any sequels are a disrespect to the actors in this film.

I loved, loved, loved the book this was supposedly "based" on, so when I had an opportunity to act in it as an extra I jumped! (I am part of the crowd at the game at the beginning, and you can't make me out even with a magnifying glass.) To my horror, when I saw the movie I found that they had utterly changed and corrupted the characters, the society, the war, the enemy, the Mobile Infantry concept.. basically everything that made the book great. For example, they made Juan Rico--a short, middling athletic, average Filipino teen--into a a tall, blond, euro, young adult, star athlete. Similarly warped everything else. Hated it. Years later I'm willing to admit that as long as you take it for what it is--a bad SciFi space monster B movie--it's kinda okay. I just really wish that they'd named it something other than 'Starship Troopers.'

Tinker Greg

I enjoyed this movie when it came out, and yes most thought all the MC were very plastic barbie dolls. And the government was too much like Nazi Germany.

Duane C

the Klendathu Drop theme music is so cool along with the Robocop theme

Jeremy McCabe

Great job, as always ladies.

Patrick

Two very different movies that would be good reactions- 'Cruel Intentions' (1999) and 'Baby's Day Out' (1994)

Lol this was a fun watch. Tien and her humor cracked me up. "What are you doing after this dance?" Tien: "My father isn't at home" "Make it 20 minutes" Tien: " We can do it twice!" Hahah! Also the guy you recognized is Clancy Brown. He was the head guard in The Shawshank Redemption. Great actor. I agree with everyone else that has seen this movie. Forget Carmen. Rico should have just taken Dizzy and enjoyed life. She was much better.

Looney

Tien: "Is the gun working?" Another hilarious commentary.πŸ˜… Especially your approvel and disapprovel of the love story. What you describe at the end Lan is also called plot armor; every main character has it, to a greater or lesser extent. I think that for Jonny, Carmen is a big (but not the only) reason why he joined the military. He says he only joined the Military because of her. Although, of course, that could just be an excuse to quit. Movie recommendations: The Babadook and Insidious, both horror movies, but without giant bugs. Would you Like to know more?πŸ˜‰ That was an awesome reaction Angels, as always.πŸ’œ

I guess Arachnophobia πŸ•·(1990) off the table?

Manospondylus

The actor that plays the Teacher has one of the manliest names possible. Michael Ironside

Manospondylus

I haven't seen The World's End but those other movies are all very good. Total Recall is a must see Schwarzenegger movie.

Vogonpoet

Now you just need to watch Total Recall to finish Verhoeven's three movie run dealing with similar themes. Another set of three movies you might be interested in are: Shawn of the dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World's End. These three movies are known as the Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy and are so funny and just great.

Steven

OMG! Here comes Barney… I’m going to call him Barney for the rest of the movie. Lan that was hilarious πŸ˜‚. Also Lan there is a reason why they call them bugs they bug you. LOL.

Troy Runyan

Hey girls fun reaction as always. Suggestions: The Last Boyscout, Pacific Rim, Star Trek First Contact, Waynes World.

Ninja Puppet

Johnny is a fool. Should have gone with Diz and went to Harvard. (and have his dad pay off the professors because you know he isn't passing on his own. lol)

Manospondylus

Excellent reaction to an excellent movie. After the Paul Verhoeven movie stint, I'd like to see you both react to some comedies again! Love it when we crack up together.

Matthew t Farler

Total Recall (1990) is one of my fav Arnold movies

christopher brown
