2025-04-20 05:22:43 +0000 UTCMatthew, there is so much wrong historically with this film, i want to apologize to you and your fellow Scots on the behalf of American cinema and Mel Gibson for all the inaccuracies portrayed. π Your country deserves better. And for the Angels and anyone else who may not be aware, Braveheart was the nickname of Robert the Bruce, not Wallace. Isabella never met Wallace and was married to the prince when she was 12 years old. She came to England after Wallace was already dead. There is way too much more to mention, so I will leave it at that and state that I love this soundtrack and score of this movie. Absolutely one of the best scores in cinema history.

This Movie is good but has quite a few historical mistakes some of which are down to dramatic effect, for example, the English King died a few years after Wallace's death not at the same time. I can't remember who asked but the English princes rule was a short one. The Movie Outlaw King (2018) is a more accurate depiction of Robert the Bruce than what is shown in this film. Also people don't usually go commondo when wearing a Kelt anymore or at least I don't when I wear one.

2025-04-04 00:30:31 +0000 UTCMight look at Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003). The story based on a book character but the look and feel is very authentic to it's "age of sail" naval action setting. My favorite Russell Crowe (from Gladiator) film.

Mel Gibson is definitely one of my favorite actors he's starred in many good movies and also directed a lot of good films too. One Mel Gibson movie I'd like you guys to react to is Lethal Weapon. Awesome movie!

I always wondered what connection he had to Ireland, was he one of the Irish noblemen, etc. I think it's good that the movie always leaves it a bit mysterious.π Sophie Marceau was such a stunning beauty and She still looks good today, I think she's in her early 60s. I love the soundtrack to Braveheart. I even bought it on CD back then. For me, one of the best soundtracks in movie history. That was an awesome reaction, Angels, as always!π

2025-04-02 20:38:07 +0000 UTCMel Gibson didn't want to play the lead role because of his age(he was 38 while Wiliiam Wallace was suppose to be in his 20s) but was forced to by Paramount because they wouldn't fund his movie without him starring. Yea his age is very noticable lol but he was still amazing and knocked it out the park despite the age issues
