The "laser" effect was caused by 'tracer' rounds. It is ammunition designed to leave a visible trail when fired, allowing the shooter to track the trajectory of the bullet. They contain a small burning charge made of magnesium or similar materials that burn brightly, making the projectile's path visible. In machine guns tracers are usually loaded as every fifth round. I also think that you should watch the "The Fat Electrician" story of the REAL War Daddy. 2025-04-27 06:24:48 +0000 UTCThe reason Brad Pitt's character (Don) hated the SS were the hardcore Nazi fanatics & Hitler supporters, so even though it was clear that Germany was going lose the war, they still forcing the rest of the German people including teenagers & children to fight so prolonging the war and suffering for both the Germans and the American ( Allies). Also the SS had a repuation killing captured American soldiers....PS I agree this movie has many repeated occurrences or lines that would make it perfect for a drinking game.

The second time he was hit was on D-Day, he twitched as the medic examined him and so was evacuated for medical treatment. It must have been truly terrifying for all involved.

These rounds basically leave a small trail of fire behind them, which allows the shooter to see the trajectory of the bullet and helps with aiming. The German tank they were fighting against was a Tiger tank. At the end of the war, it was the most modern and powerful tank. But it was also difficult to manufacture, so the Germans didn't have many of them. It was greatly feared by the Allied forces. The final battle in this movie is so epic. The last scene, where you see the completely battered tank from above and all the fallen soldiers lying around it, somehow reminds me of the end of the movie 300. I don't think Brad Pitt's character hates all the Germans. Otherwise, he would have treated the two women differently. He has a particular hatred for the SS soldiers. They were the most fanatical and brutal soldiers on the German side. They committed many of the most brutal war crimes and were responsible for running and guarding the concentration camps. Brad Pitt's character has probably just seen too many SS atrocities and hates them especially for that. I think he wants to defend the street at the end because he knows those troops might otherwise launch a surprise attack on advancing American troops. That was a great reaction, as always, Angels.💜
