Please react to "Platoon" 1986 directed by W. Oliver Stone. ngl...it's going to be a hard one. It's the most accurate depiction of the war experience of the Vietnam /American war.

2025-05-02 22:35:26 +0000 UTCThis is a great movie. I think, despite being directed by Ridley Scott, it is often overlooked. It is one of the rare cases where we get a glimpse into a more current conflict. Whenever I watch Black Hawk Down, I always wonder where Josh Hartnett took a wrong turn in Hollywood. In the late 90s and early 2000s, he was one of Hollywood's most celebrated young stars; many even predicted him a career like DiCaprio's. Unfortunately, he never really made it big, but I always enjoy seeing him in movies, he ist a great actor. If you want to watch another movie set in Africa that deals with the conflicts there, I recommend Blood Diamond (2006) with Leonardo DiCaprio. Another relatively new good war movie is 1917 (2019). It is set in the First World War, also a conflict that is relatively rarely dealt with in Hollywood. That was an awesome reaction Angels, as always!đ

The AH-64 "Apache", CH-47 "Chinook", UH-72 "Lakota", and H-13 "Sioux" to name a few. The UH-1 "Iroquois" is the official name for the Huey used so much in the war with Vietnam. One of the few exceptions to that rule was the AH-1 "Cobra" attack helicopter also used in Vietnam. Naming them like this started a few years after WW2.
