Full-length The Passion of the Christ

Full-length The Passion of the Christ

when He draws a line in the sand that is scripture. He who is without sin cast the first stone. He's been sought after since he was born thats why he was born in a Manger. They were looking for him his entire life. After the 40 days and 40 nights he transcended into the man he was born to be. Plus he spoke with 2 prophets on a mountain top. Moses and Elijah. there is so much that I know and how everything came to be. but thats for another conversation.

This movie is powerful. It shows the extent of what Jesus had to go thru to pay the penalty for our sins. It wasn’t the nails that kept Him on the cross, it was His love for us. And the woman that was with Him was actually Mary, a woman that was thrown at His feet after being caught in the act of adultery. She was gonna get stoned to death for that, but Jesus still had mercy on her and told the religious leaders there, “If any of you are without sin, you can throw the first stone.” One by one they walked away knowing they weren’t sinless but He is. So He lifted her up and told her, “I don’t condemn you either, go & sin no more.” Not one of us is worthy of coming to Him & being forgiven but that’s the beauty of it. It’s not what we can do, but rather what He has already done

At the end of the movie when He is standing there resurrected you see the hole all the way through his hand from where the spike was driven through to nail him to the cross. So why then, don't you also see massive scarring all over him from the horrific and endless savage beatings and whippings unleashed upon Him?

Exodus 14:14 "The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent,". And its not a cheetah, Cheetahs have black tears that run down their face. Its a leopard. The woman who reached for Jesus was guilty of Adultry and they were about to stone her to death. And Jesus said any man who is free of sin cast the first stone. Jesus told his disciples he would rise on the third day which is why he did. The cloth he was wrapped in is still here today known as the shroud of Turin and it has his blood all over it still. There is always a significant number that is repeated over and over in the bible which is the number 3. When he was crucified there were three. Peter denied him 3 times. And there are going to be 3 great deaths. The first was flood with Noah, Jesus' death and resurrections and the last one is on its way destroyed by fire and the ascension of the righteous also known as the rapture. The first trumpet sounded in 2012, there are still a few more. He was pure and it wasn't magic it was faith. When he walked on the water Peter asked if he could join him and once he stepped on the water he was walking briefly until a gust of wind hit Peter and he started to sink and asked Jesus to save him and Jesus lifted him back up saying why do you have faith the size of a mustard seed? And the opposite of faith is fear, which give dark entities their strength. Always have faith and read the good book every once and while. It'll give you a understanding of why people do the things they do. Just like how everyone has the stain of original sin but after baptism that is washed away and your given the Holy Spirit. I've always been religious my entire life but I am not without sin. Which is why I try to keep in prayer all the time. Remember you can still come to Christ and he will always be with you. there are only two places after we pass from this earth and its either Heaven or Hell. There is no in between or reincarnation. He is God, God in the flesh. To understand God, he sent his only Begotten son here to earth to save us all. Now he's a King and all the Angels serve him. You need to watch Noah with Russel Crow. That talks about Genesis, how the world came to be and the stain of original sin. Then either The 10 commandments or The Prince of egypt to understand Moses and how we got the 10 commandments.

There's something really funny to me about seeing "Passion of the Christ" in your reaction feed immediately next to "Family Guy"

NeonToiletJuice

I remember seeing this at 16 years old when it came out in theaters. It was such a powerful and emotional movie back then, and still is. Mel Gibson knows what he's doing.

Regarding the negative comments about gibbs Passion,' from an NT scholar's perspective, it offers a remarkably faithful, almost scene-by-scene, depiction of the synoptics. "Life of Brian" is certainly more entertaining, though! It would be amusing to see the reaction if they were to watch that, following "The Passion. Everybody be nice!

The Roman Empire was massive during this time and had full rule over the area that Jesus lived. The man (Pontius Pilate) that had Jesus beaten was a Roman not a Jew. Ultimately he "washed his hands" of the situation and gave Jesus over to the Jewish people who wanted him crucified. After his resurrection, Jesus walked on the earth for 40 days (Acts 1:3) and spoke with over 500 people (1 Corinthians 15:6) before he ascended into heaven.

When he was alive again he went to heaven with his body.

Very intense movie made by a very intense man. I do; however, have a lot of respect for Mel Gibson. He puts his heart and soul into everything he works on whether it be acting or directing. Jim Caviezel is a great actor too (the man who played Jesus). You two should react to the film The Count of Monte Cristo starring Jim Caviezel. One interesting fact about the making of this movie is no film studio would finance or lend money to produce it. Mel Gibson had enough faith in this movie that he used his personal money to finance the movie. He didn't lose a single dollar using his own allowance, in fact he profited from this movie. It was all a passion project for Mel Gibson that's a devoted Catholic is you ask me.

Troy Runyan

I've never watched this film because I knew it was a 2 hour beat-down, but i have to say I'm really impressed by the effects and make up from this film. it does feel like a horror film, but the brutality looks so real. Speaking of horror films there are some horror films that have a religious slant. Of course, there's The Exorcist. I think you watched this with Hella. But, there's also The Omen, and I think the prequel, The First Omen is also worth watching. Immaculate is also a fun movie.

Steven

Mel Gibson is such a POS. I wish they would get off his movies. Total scumbag. He’s so gross.

Jef Etters

I would recommend Calvary (2014) starring Brendan Gleeson. It's another Christian movie that doesn't get enough attention.

Juilus Evola

Whether you like this movie/director or not, I have so much respect to Tien for watching as a Christian, knowing how hard it will be. Also to Lan for her open-mindedness, and who's usually very tough but was overtaken by emotion in some scenes.

Juice

Wow - this is a bold watch. Not your typical reaction movie, pretty extreme.

Beau Tanner

This was a good movie

murph

This is a snuff film by that psychotic pis Gibson

Seannie

🧟‍♂️ Please React to 28 Days Later (2002) 🙏

Blackwargreymon00

Please ladies. American Psycho (2000) is desperately needed. Have Katie watch we you. It will be epic .

Manospondylus

Gibs' past and the goofy sedavacantism aside, he made a pretty solid film. Plus if you're a language nerd the Aramaic is fascinating

Ty and Leona

This has always been a weird movie, made by an unhinged racist director

Kyle Turman

This is going to be tough 😔
