Black Hawk Down

C.S. Lewis wrote The Chronicles of Narnia. He was good friends with J.R.R. Tolkien. He wrote the Lord of the Rings. Both were Christians. Aslam represents Jesus. The witch represents the devil. Aslan dies and rises again to save his "Family," as Aslam called them. The deep magic is the will and word of God the Father. The Father is represented by the unseen Emperor who sent Aslan to Narnia, like the Father sent Jesus.

They made a total of 3 Narnia movies, the next is Prince Caspain which is my favourite followed by the Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Anna Popplewell who plays Susan is the only actors playing the siblings that I have seen in anything else, that I'm aware of.

Matthew Finn

It's funny that Lan jokingly asked "the Force?" when Aslan talks about a powerful magic that governs their destinies, since the voice of Aslan is Liam Neeson, the voice of Qui-Gon Jinn in The Phantom Menace.

Brandon

At the end of the movie when you see the adult versions of the kids the girl playing the older Lucy is Rachael Henley the real life older sister of Georgie Henley who plays young Lucy.

Apparently Netflix is developing new live action movies for the Chronicles of Narnia. Although they might possibly be starting with the book: The Magicians Nephew instead of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. There's no official word on if that's true or not but supposedly there's been hints that that is the case. Also the expected release date for the first movie is Thanksgiving of 2026.

Tien "It was made in Rivendale.". I love how Tien drops references to other movies in almost every reaction.😅 A good movie, unfortunately a bit too short, which means it doesn't really do the novel justice. This is especially noticeable in the second half of the movie; everything seems a bit rushed. Where The Hobbit is too long with three three-hour movies, Narnia is simply too short with two hours. I would base your decision as to whether you should watch the sequels on how much you liked the first one. The other two movies aren't bad, but as others have said, there are seven books in total. This means the story will always remain unfinished. The first part, as it ends, can easily stand as a standalone movie. The actor who plays Mr. Tumnus, James McAvoy, is one of my favorite actors. I would Like to recommend the Eastrail 177 trilogy for a reaction. The trilogy consists of the movies Unbreakable (2000), Split (2016), and Glass (2019). James McAvoy stars in Split and Glass. It was made by M. Night Shyamalan, the creator of The Sixth Sense (Tien has already watched the movie with Hella, but we urgently need a reaction from Lan and Yuri to The Sicht Sense😉), the trilogy could be described as superhero movies with a special twist. As always, that was an awesome reaction Angels.💜

There are 7 books but sadly they stop at 3 movies always so disappointing specially when the next one i believe was going to be the Magicians Nephew.

What is not very well communicated in the film adaptation is that the drink and the Turkish delight that the white witch gives to Edmond was enchanted to be addictive. His actions make so much less sense when that detail is left out.

Anna Kyruin

I hope you watch the other Narnia movies.

Great reaction. And with the wardrobe, as they say. "When one door closes, another one opens." And yes it is some Jedi stuff. Aslan is voiced by Qui Gon Jin from Star Wars Episode 1. 😆 I will always love this movie. It's such a fun adventure. Never seen the sequels though. I hear they are good though.

awesome very unexpected

Yes please watch the next one!!

This Movie is an adaptation of the first Novel from a series of seven novels, which are commonly referred to as the 'Narnia Chronicles ' written by C.S. Lewis. He was a professional colleague and friend of J.R.R. Tolkien (Author of Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit) as both were Professors of English Literature at Oxford University. They often used to discuss their writings together so clearly influenced each other. Also C.S. Lewis was a devout Christian (Anglican) so this strongly influenced his writing wth an example being the Christ like character of Aslan.

Christopher Young

I'm impressed how fast they caught onto the fact that Aslan is Jesus. And to be clear because alot of people confuse this, Aslan is not an allegory for Jesus, in the Narnia stories he is Jesus, he simply takes different forms in different worlds

Ryan Alexander

Super excited to watch this. I love this movie and loved the book as a kid.

Looney

C.S.Lewis and Tolkien were close friends and encouraged each other in the writing of their famous novels. If you see hints of The Lord of The Rings in this story then that's why. Narnia is a Christian story so guess who Aslan is?

Mr Jackpots

You should watch the never ending story

Chris W

Starting in 1939 over a million children were evacuated from large English cities to protect them from German air raids. Most went to small country towns and villages, but some went as far away as Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Mr Jackpots

YOOOO!!! Let’s gooo!!! Can’t wait to continue the fantasy journey!!!👏👏👏
