This movie won many awards all around the world including three Oscars. Robert Benigni received the Best Actor Oscar for his performance. I've only seen this movie once, but I won't be watching it with you. It's just too heartbreaking, but I thank you for putting it up so people who may have never seen it can do so.

When this movie was in theaters in the US (or at least my area), it was subtitle only--no dubs. I remember being so immersed in the movie that by the time the American tanker spoke English at the end it felt like he was speaking some weird foreign language. It was jarring.

Another cool movie for you to watch about WWII, but with a different approach, is Jojo Rabbit.

I don't think we've had such a tearful reaction in a long time.😢
This movie breaks my heart every time I see it. Guido's senseless, unceremonious death so close to the end of the war, and how he bravely maintains the facade of the game just to protect his son from the cruel reality for just one more moment, hits me hard every time.
Roberto Benigni deservedly won two Oscars (Best Actor and Best Foreign Language Movie) for this masterpiece.
I'd like to recommend The Pianist (2003). It's another heartbreaking movie about a Jew trying to survive the Holocaust.
That was a great reaction Angels.💜
