Do not worry about any possible future implications, all storyline developement will be flushed down the toilet thoroughly at the end of season 8.

Ned Stark was an important character too... :)

Oh my Lord, Tien, you were SAVAGE in your commentary! I can't count how many times I chuckled out of nowhere!! I love you two โค๏ธ

You're actually doing quite well at following the intertwining storylines. English is my first language and there are things that I missed when I first watched it.

I always like to quote these lines about the Baratheon brothers. "Robert was the true steel. Stannis is pure iron, black and hard and strong, yes, but brittle, the way iron gets. He'll break before he bends. And Renly, that one, he's copper, bright and shiny, pretty to look at but not worth all that much at the end of the day."

What Rakaro meant when he said to Dany "It's a bad time to start" wasn't referring to a war. Dany told him he's never failed her. With his response, he wanted to imply that now would be a bad time to start failing her. In the scene where the old man dies from the poison in the wine. The old man poisoned the wine to kill the Red Priestess, and she drank the wine afterwards on purpose to make him realize in his final moments that he had died in vain. The Story is always relatively vague regarding the Red Priestess's powers. She seems to have some magical abilities, but she herself says that all her powers come from her god who works through her. That was, as always, a great reaction Angels.๐Ÿ’œ

It's fine if you refer to Daenerys Targaryen, Mother of Dragons, as DANY. This is pronounced like the male name Danny. In the books, this is a nickname people use for her. It's a running joke/meme that if Sean Bean shows up in a movie, he's there to die. He's died in a lot of big movies. You met the RED WOMAN in this episode. Her name is Melisandre and she's a priestess for the Lord of Light. Most people in Westeros worship the SEVEN, but she's something like a fanatic for a new religion and she does seem to exhibit some magical powers, like being able to drink poison and not die. It's not clear in the books, but some people think that dragons returning to the world brought a certain amount of magic back into the world that wasn't there before. Two of Robert's-the last king-brothers are still alive. Renly-the gay one-who might actually be a good ruler and has a lot of soldiers and money, and Stannis, who is actually a good warrior and has the Red Woman. Both have claimed themselves the true king. If they teamed up, the other families would have real problems, but both see themselves as the better option.
