"the Damentors force us to relive our very worst memories, our pain becomes their power" The reason the Dementors are so interested in Harry is because he has experienced terrible things in his life. His pain is so great the dementors are attracted to it because they want to feed on it. But because of that he also very powerful "good" feelings in him that make his Patronus so strong. When Ron reads his tea leaf he mentions that Harry "is going to suffer, but be happy about it" because his powerful memory for his Patronus is his parents.
