The usual sort of Sandler humour and the neat editing makes this a very fun movie but the way it lands the last act message really makes this is a standout Adam Sandler film. Even though I could roughly remember where the movie goes, I think when I last saw this was before I lost my Dad way too soon and that made the themes of time passing and cherishing the here-and-now hit a lot harder. Then Yuri was so brave and kind as to share her own connection with the movies themes which I really appreciated.

I forgot how touching and heartfelt this movie is towards the end. React to more Adam Sandler movies we'll all enjoy that.

For me, it's always been Adam Sandler's counterpart to Jim Carrey's Cable Guy. I think the moral of the story isn't just about spending more time with family, but also about not trying to avoid your "problems.". A little fun fact: Happy Madison Productions is Adam Sandler's own production company. The name is inspired by his first two big movie hits, Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore. The logo with the golf theme is also inspired by Happy Gilmore, and the man you see there is Adam Sandler's father. Two Adam Sandler movie recommendations: You Don't Mess with the Zohan (2008) and 50 First Dates (2004). Easy, two of his best movies; you would definitely love 50 First Dates.
