This is a tough movie ... and the road will get tougher! In the meantime, enjoy your break from intra-Avengers politics with the next few really good MCU movies (Doctor Strange is one of my personal faves), and great reaction Angels (as usual)!

Captain America knew since he got the file about Bucky from Black Widow at the end of Captain America - The Winter Soldier. That means that Natasha also knew, and thats why she said that Steve would not want to pull on that thread ( which is in the file )

I think how people feel about the US is more a recent thing. Certainly not when this movie came out. And even with everything that's happened in the last decade, the US is still the center of global politics. I imagine anything the US would want, the rest of the UN would follow. Which would effectively make the Avengers, who are based in the US but are not a US force, a fighting arm of the US military. Imagine sending Avengers to topple Venezuela's government. Not good at all.

What makes this movie so good is that it demonstrates that the biggest problems in life often happen when there are two sides of an argument that are completely valid, but no "middle ground" (aka compromise) can be found.
The thing is that there are a lot of good people in the world, but they are not perfect, we are not perfect. The best thing we can do is accept the mistakes we make and move forward.
Did Steve make a mistake not telling Tony the truth sooner? Would it really have prevented any problems in the future? We don't know that. We're a third party trying to judge a difficult situation when we ourselves have no personal or emotional part of it.
As always, the conversations at the end are great.
And as always, have tissues ready for both happy tears and sad tears. The Marvel roller-coaster ride is about to pick up speed.

yeah i didn't think of that....
you're right that's not Tony at all to follow rules. we saw that in all others movie (iron man 2 and both avengers being the best examples).
Maybe, yes, it's the guilt of the innocent blood (just like he had remorse in Iron man 1 when he understand what his weapons do). but accepting to have a leash is not his style...
(in cartoons, that's more the opposite. captain wanting to put rules and tony going full "let me do my thing!)
But i guess the scenarist needed something to build the conflict and even if it's in his characters, it goes pretty well. the proof i didn't think of that first!
So... i guess everyone can have is point! Or we have an another Civil war !!! (no no non non , I don't want this comment section shut down too !π°π)

Hi angels !!
(Lan, beautiful top!)
Ouch, this one will hurt them...let's go anyway....π°π
they gonna regret wanting to see Tony and Steve fight...
If Tien and Lan are learning Black widow's fighting style AND Lan want to have Black Panther's suit... "AHAHA I'm in danger !!!"π€£
Did you recognize the secretary ? He's the "step-father" of Hulk in "the Incredible Hulk" movie. the one who's tracking him.
If you wonder, angels, between Bucharest (in Romania) and Vienna (in Austria, so between the UN meeting and Bucky) there's 1078 km ! 17h30 to travel by train ! it's not possible Bucky was there in such a little time. I think the scenarist should have use Budapest( in Hungary) who's only 245 km from Vienna. it will be less ridiculous. (yeah you should use a map on this one...π ) and all of that to go in Berlin (in Germany) 681km from Vienna (and 1706km from Bucharest... what's the point ? π ) well they made a pretty trip in central and eastern Europe.
And yes, I'm having more trouble with that than Steve being able to hold an Helicopter !! (Tien really made me laugh with her face and Lan's "no F**king way " and "flex your biceps"!! ππ€£damn you're fun listening and seeing to π, your reaction to the kiss was also hilarious)
In the comics, Zemo is part of Hydra and is a common enemy of captain America who's fighting with sword/rapier.
Lan: don't be shock about Tony's comment about Spiderman aunt being "unusually attractive" . That was the first time we had an aunt May so young !! in normal time, she's like 60-70's ladies . The difference is huge! And Spiderman is really that talkative and joking around in the comics !! π (i'll spoke more about him when you'll do his movie π)
You should definitely see the Sam Raimi's Spiderman trilogy !! (in fact every spiderman the munchies did!!) π Believe they're all good !! ( although there's debate for those from the MCU .... you'll see later for yourself)
Team captain for me !!
Yes, Steve made a huge mistake not telling Tony for his dad and I understand Tony's wrath when he found out.
But before, Damn Tony stop making decision alone and listen to the others !!! let your pride and arrogance away !! (I hate him for that). He can't do team work... So he don't listen, do as HE see things and the others just have to shut up. He even imprison Wanda without warning her about what he's trying to do! And i think he wasn't honest with spiderman when explain the situation to him.( when you hear how Spiderman is explaining how Stark explained it)
And the accord is not a good idea. on the principle of it: yes. But do we really want politicians debate for months, if not years, to choose if the Avengers could intervene somewhere.... In a world like marvel where aliens can invaded, a mad scientist can open a portal to an another dimension or create a monster or a criminal with superpower going on a rampage, being able to act quick without the politics stopping you because it's not on their political advantage, "Agenda" or else.( And we know how effective the UN is IRL to maintain peace...) . Yes, they must work with the government, but letting them have all the decisions making will do more harm than good. (but I'll be fair with Tony... He had a very bad times: the break with pepper, The Ultron crisis before, guilt for the death of the people, feeling betrayed by his friends many times in a week and now this.... what a shitty day!!π€―π°)
In short, like T'challa said "accord, yes. politics not really. two people in a room can get more done than a hundred".
But yes, each side have good point and right to do so. that's what made the movie so good and tearing our heart seeing them fight.
But the movie is really good for showing how awful living in a superhero world would be in reality. (the show Invincible also does that pretty well) Living in fear of a supervillain or superhero going in a fight and blowing you when you're just walking by or staying in your house...
Oh.... Tien .... You put a tear in my eyes during the fight...(i think even Hella didn't succeed back then, close but not succeed). I was surprise you go with Tony on that fight. I agree with you, there was not a good way to deal with the secret of Tony's parent's death. Steve may have choose the easy way, but each case will hurt.
If tony know/ he's hurt, he (maybe) want to revenge anyway, or maybe he will heal and may thing better. this is very hazardous!
If Tony don't know: there's a good chance, even if they caught Bucky, he may never know. or we deal with that afterward with some preparation to explain to Tony... I don't know....
The two best case scenario (in my mind) in both decision is : Steve tell him form the beginnings (maybe with Pepper's help) and Tony can digest the news...and maybe not forgave him but not killing him on sight !! and found Bucky next with Tony helps...(not sure for that...)
If we don't tell him: we found Bucky first, we try to help him and prepare a meeting with Tony where Bucky tell himself to Tony and ask for his forgivenes (still with Pepper around !!!), I think the worst who can happened is Tony punching him. and little by little heal....
Either way, Tony is the "Hazardous" elements... and that's what make it so hard (knowing his Ego, arrogance and so on....)
Anyway, thanks for the good time ! even if the end is hard...( now I'm scared for some others event... you'll see...)
Have a nice day Angels!!

A great movie, easily in my top 5 MCU movies.
I'm always Team Captain America.
I mean, come on, how can Tony trust Ross? He's the same man who oversaw the experiments that turned Banner into the Hulk. And when Banner escaped to find a cure, Ross hunted him down. Not to help him or primarily to protect innocent civilians from him. No, he wanted to capture him to study him and make more of him. And Tony knows that.
I know Tony probably feels a lot of guilt for creating Ultron, but the fact that Tony caves so easily and agrees to the Accords is pretty much the only thing that bothers me about the movie. The conflict seems a bit too forced.
Steve is right, you can't just pass the responsibility. And when a threat like Loki attacks with his alien army, you can't wait for the UN to vote on it. That would only cost more innocent lives, or in the worst-case scenario, everyone would be kneeling before King Loki.
In addition,, one can also assume that the Accords weren't truly voluntary.
What if Wanda had said no? If she wanted to quit the hero business and instead build a new life as a civilian, does anyone really believe she wouldn't have ended up in the same cell she was in in the movie?
The highlight of the movie is, of course, the ending. As they say, the ending is a dilemma, a situation where all options are undesirable.
In the end, I'm on Tony's side. When you're suddenly standing next to the man who coldly murdered your parents, you're not thinking straight in that moment. Arguments like "he was brainwashed" or similar don't help. I'm of course glad he didn't kill either Steve or Bucky. I mean, Steve was of course right too.π
During the helicopter scene, the ladies were so blown away they had to hold hands to probably avoid fainting.
This scene always reminds me that I really need to improve my workout game.π
It was, as always, a great reaction Angels.π

Team Captain. I don't think it wise to put a US based force like the Avengers should be put under the control of a group of countries that largely hate the US.
