Earth's Defense part 2: EMIYA

People could see them from the streets, and they panicked. Traffic was completely jammed, and people were abandoning their cars and running away in droves. In the distance they could hear the roar of the husks, punctuated by the mechanical roar of the Reaper itself.
In the middle of the pandemonium, a tired man stood his ground against the crowd and simply gazed at the Reaper in the distance. Despite the panic around him, he managed a small smile as he slowly made his way against the crowd.
“After all this time, you finally give me a job where I can actually be a hero?” He let out a slightly bitter chuckle that nobody heard. Still, despite his thoughts, he had no intention of letting this opportunity go.
‘To save one meant to kill another’
Time after time, Alaya would send him to places where he had to kill other people, whether they were innocent or not, all to ensure humanity's survival.
How long had he been doing this? How long had he been a simple tool, forced to murder again and again? He had no idea. He lost count a long time ago.
Now though… Now might be the first time he could let himself go without any guilt.
As he formed his bow and a twisted sword, he felt a presence that caused him to immediately look at his side.
“Fou!”
He relaxed slightly, “So even Gaia is getting in on this, to send you?” He asked with no small amusement.
The small squirrel thing hopped about eagerly, “Fou!” It cheered.
He scoffed, “Do what you will, just don’t get in my way. “
“Fou!”
He cocked an eye at it, “You really think you can get more than me?”
The cute creature gave him a mock growl, shaking its head back and forth, “Fou!”
He stared at it incredulously before letting out a smirk, “Very well, I suppose I don’t mind a friendly competition.” He sent his magic into the sword, twisting it further and making it more aerodynamic, until he could notch it in his bow. “Don’t expect me to hold back though.”
“Fou!”
With that, an arrow flew as a small creature blurred forward, both EMIYA and Primate Murder letting loose their attacks.
The Counter Force was mobilized, and the Beasts of Gaia had been unleashed.
