Author's Note: July (2023)

Hey everybody - I hope that you all have had a good couple months. 

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to finish any chapters this last month - deadlines have been ramping up at work, and that's been keeping things busy for me. I have had three things in the works though - 

The first is a Danny Phantom one-shot. The concept revolves around the episode "Urban Jungle". Instead of Danny getting to the Far Frozen, he falls unconscious and Sam captures him. However, when Undergrowth orders her to kill him, she panics and tries to figure out a way to save Danny. It's currently at 15,000 words, and I think it'll finish at 20,000. It's a concept that I came up with a while ago and thought interesting. 

The second is the next chapter to My Miraculous Academia. This one will contain the day of the Sport's Festival, going through the first event. It's also the chapter that the next champion will come into play - 'Revelry', the Champion version of Tokoyami and Dark Shadow. "A grim visage, cloaked in twisting shadow and mist. But what sort of revelry can exist with only one? With but a sweep of his hand, he commands the shadows of all to join him in this Revelry of the Night." Revelry has the ability to call other people's shadows to help him. These shadows are similar to the people they come from, and have the same sort of abilities and skills, just lesser. That is, if somebody had A rank strength, then their shadow would have B rank strength. This also goes for any particular quirk the original had. As per Dark Shadows original weakness, each shadow is weak to light. If their quirk is related to fire or light in any way, then they are unable to use it except as a suicide run.

The third is the next chapter to Effecting Fate. This one has been a long time coming, and I swear it's on it's way. Shirou and Arturia need to meet up with Anderson, who orders them to stick with the rest of the crew since they are being targeted. So they end up bringing everybody to the info broker, where they meet up with Garrus and trade information. Garrus tells them that he'll let them know if he comes across anything new. A week passes, and Garrus calls them and tells them that the hospital is being attacked by Fist's men. Saving the doctor, as per the game, they find out about Tali. Without knowing where Tali is, they can't just go running around randomly. Garrus wants to bust down Fist's bar, but Shirou and Arturia convince him not to. Instead, Shirou calls Wrex and asks for a favor. Wrex will cause a bar fight, distracting everybody at the bar, while Shirou sneaks into the back and hacks into Fist's computer. After he does so, he sends the relevant information to Arturia and the rest of the crew. Before he can escape, the cops arrive at the bar and arrest everybody. Meanwhile, Arturia and the crew find Tali and help her out, getting the data. Presenting the data to the Councilors happens pretty much as it does in the game, but afterwords a couple Spectre's meet with their Councilors. Having spied on Arturia and Shirou, they present their findings and recommendations on whether or not they are deserving to become Spectres. The Councilor's debate on whether or not to only promote one, and one of the Spectre's claims that based on Shirou's omnitool searches, he believes that if an attempt is made to seperate them, Shirou will simply quit and become a mercenary in order to follow Arturia. With that information, they decide to promote both Shirou and Arturia.
