ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

I won’t lie; my plan was to garner enough money from writing fanfics to kickstart my dream of becoming a published author, but that seems increasingly out of reach every day. So, I'm dabbling into other areas like animation to expand my skills and earn more income that way. I've only got a phone, so progress will be slow, but soon, I hope to be able to adapt my work into animation myself.

But that isn't the reason for this post.

This is my first time doing such, so I need guidance. Anyone with animation experience?

Okay, I can't highlight specific parts of your comment to reply to, so I hope I don't confuse you. And thanks for the comment; you weren't rude, just blunt, and that's okay. 1. Without going into personal details, Patreon takes percentage cuts from every purchase (membership, shops), so there's a major difference between the money I should earn and the money I do earn. 2. The “S” Stands For Hope went on hiatus because of writer’s block. In order to combat that, I decided to write other stories (mostly to see if I could replicate the success it had, which I did with the “Taylor in Gotham” series). And to be honest, engagement was low, so I hoped time away would make people miss it and build hype for future chapters. 3. I am focusing on stories that are popular; the “Taylor in Gotham” series is my most updated story so far. 4. This Patreon isn't planned to be just for stories. I’m hoping to build a community off from it. 5. I will see if I can talk with other authors here on Patreon and see what they are doing differently. I've thought about fiddling with the price/benefits, but that might negatively affect me at the moment, so I'm iffy. 6. I like keeping you guys updated, but I will stop with the announcements. To add to this, there's a reason why consumer retention is the most important focus of any business. So, yeah, I'm a bit desperate, mate. Basically up all night most days thinking of ways to keep membership constant. I thought I wasn't doing enough; hence, my many, many stories

Alright. I'll admit I'm sceptical. You've written much, much more than most authors can manage in a short time. Have 70+ paid members, which is much compared to the really big ones, but is far from nothing. More than that, you keep put the story that has the biggest following (According to what I can see) on a hiatus, S stands for Hope. Your thought process confuses me. I might offend or insult you when saying this, but I won't lie to you, you might want to stop and take a look at your priorites. You've gotten 70+ paid members in a month, and, as long as you focus on the stories that are popular, I fully expect that to grow by a lot. Picking up something new *might*, emphasis on *might* work, but any interested you've generated so far will likely not help you, unless you had a much bigger one than you do. So here's my advice: Look and maybe talk with the biggest authors on patreon, see what they did, maybe fiddle with changing your prices and benefits. S stands for hope has only been posted since december which is only three months, and in my experience as someone who's supported many, many authors. The first stories rarely generate as much interest as the latter ones do, seeing as the author is that much more experienced. Many followers often read your other stories as well, generating a surge of interesting on non-patreon sites leading to more interest. Just keep working at it, stop with doing so many announcements as it feels like they've come every other day and take one step at a time. Of course, if you're truly desperate for money, this might not be for you, as your income isn't normally high at the beginning and you need to work for a long time to get it where you can live off it
