The final 20 episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood are probably my favorite pieces of animation of all time. Arakawa-sensei did such a great job of fleshing out every single aspect, which is a real credit to her, and that gave the show creators so much more to work with.

2021-09-06 06:52:17 +0000 UTCthe 2003 version diverged too far from the manga, and by the end it felt like "I don't know what I just watched, but it's definitely NOT Fullmetal". I really didn't like it. And I personally do not agree with many decisions the 2003 anime had made to the characters. Some of the character arcs completely undermined the original manga. I would give examples, but I don't want to spoil it in case you plan to watch. Yes, the creator/author herself was a consultant for the 2003 anime. But George RR Martin was involved in the production of GOT season 7 and 8, and look how that turned out? Disappointing to say the least.

Just wondering because the websites I've seen it on has two "eyecatches" (the character portraits in the middle of the episodes), but it seems you only show the first eyecatch.... so it just threw my timer off-sync with you guys' at first, no big deal though :)
