What I'm Listening To!
Added 2024-11-29 19:00:09 +0000 UTCWhen I was at Victoria's Secret this week, I overheard a couple of girls talking while I was trying on some bras. And they started talking about music and pop stars and stuff. They started talking about popstars and like, who the Big 3 are now. They named Taylor Swift and Beyonce immediately, and like... while they are both absolutely iconic... I dunno if I would classify them as popstars in terms of genre? At least not in the same way I think of Britney Spears and Christina as popstars. Maybe that's the bimbo in me putting like, the bubblegum pop girlies on a pedestal?
Then they debated who the third was. One said "what about that Espresso girl" which, considering my massive girlcrush on Sabrina Carpenter, was horrifying to me. Her friend said she didn't think Sabrina qualified yet because "she is like so hot, but only sings about sex."
Now, this confused me because they had just finished talking about how their moms "had such big divas" like Madonna and Cher. Because like, I'm not as familiar with Cher's music... but I'm pretty sure Madonna's done pretty well for herself singing about sex.
Anyway, this made me realize that the whole conversation was really about the value of a woman's sexuality. Because Sabrina Carpenter is so overt about her sexuality in her music, she's seen as "below" someone like Taylor Swift who keeps it a little more PG (though she's totally a messy queen in own way) in terms of how seriously people take her as an artist.
And I was like, "Ohmygod that's so messed up!" because a huge part of my beliefs about bimbofication as a more mainstream concept and the bimbo lifestyle in general is that there's power in embracing your sexuality. In not feeling like you need to hide your desires... because goddess knows the guys don't have to. That's probably why I admire Sabrina Carpenter as much as I do; she is unabashedly horny and isn't ashamed to say it.
The girls never did finish their conversation because one got called away, but it got me thinking about who my personal Big 3 are right now and I came up with Chappell Roan, Chrissy Chlapecka, and Sabrina Carpenter. Chrissy's music in particular is just so perfectly bimbo; I just love it so much!!!
But that got me thinking that you all might be interested in what music I'm currently listening to. So here's my current like, Top Ten songs that I'm obsessed with right now:
1) HOT TO GO! - Chappell Roan
2) Juno - Sabrina Carpenter
3) Rockstar - LISA
4) Mantra - JENNIE
5) Girlie Pop - Chrissy Chlapecka
6) Build-a-Bitch - Bella Poarch
7) My Oh My - Kylie Minogue
8) TRUST! - Rebecca Black
9) Pink Pony Club - Chappell Roan
10) Lewd Thoughts - PiNKII

2024-11-30 09:03:46 +0000 UTCNow you've got me thinking about my favorite sex songs.... Janelle Monae's "Dirty Computer" and "The Age of Pleasure" albums. DiVinyls' "I Touch Myself" Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get you Out Of My Head" (which is also a great mind-control song/video!) Alex Gaudino's "Destination Calabria" video is hot and the song bangs. Cardi B's "WAP" of course! And for sultry, back in the day grooves, go find Eartha Kitt songs!

2024-11-30 08:51:32 +0000 UTChuh. Thats really interesting to think about tho. But i honestly think the Reason why Music is often so covertly or directly sexual is because in a Lot of Cultures, especially in the Anglosphère, Sex is a Taboo-Topic(especially for Women)? So Music kinda acts as a Vent for that. Anyways, i really love the whole "not hiding your Desires" Point. I rarely saw it, but i 100% agree.
