Essential Printing Accessories
Added 2021-04-12 02:56:02 +0000 UTCI get asked a lot about what I use for my prints, these are the products that I swear by. I will update this list over time as I think of new essentials.
@Tims_Toyz turned me on to this stuff. This gives a beautiful finish to your prints, will remove shine from the raw filament, and will protect paint from scratches. I also use this all the time on custom figures and to dull the shiny faces on some of the newer Black Series.

Sharpie Metallic Permanent Markers
These are essential for doing metallic details. I use it to add wear and tear on my edges as well as to easily make buttons and ridges look fancy.

No more warped corners! When I heard about this stuff I thought it was too good to be true, but it has performed exactly as advertised to keep my prints sticking to the bed. Apply once and it last several prints, it's expensive but a little bit goes a long way, especially when you take into account the cost of failed prints.

This glue was recommended to me by FigureWorks as a good 3D print glue. It's really the best I've used for glueing printed pieces together. Works great on custom figures too. Be careful not to glue your fingers!

I'm also looking for tips on how to split a file to get it to fit on my printer. For example, I want to print the Death Star Detention Cell, but the base is too big for my Ender 3 v2. Not sure if there is a program I can use to cut it in half (or if there is a better approach). Thanks a ton. Hoping to finally start doing some printing this week. Cheers.
