It has a simple mechanism to make the button accessible from the outside, check out this reel to see how it works! FYI the big end of the button peg goes on the inside and touches the puck button.

This also fits the sort of standard 85mm puck light that you'd find on Amazon (you'd just need to snap the pegs off of the base, or as I did, print a 6mm riser). Not that you can really do much without a translucent figure but I guess if you painted the puck a dark colour and you had an RGB, if you set it to red it looks pretty cool as a generic war table.
