The Cantina

Completely newly sculpted from the ground up, this 1/12 scale Cantina measures 17” wide by 9” tall. I plan to build out additional parts to the cantina soon.

I recommend printing the back archway with 15% infill, and printing the silver awning at 10% to keep it lighter.

The chairs will work best at the smallest layer height possible. The pipes should slide onto the poles and 'twist' into place, but a dab of glue will secure them.

Chrome filament for pipes/greebles: https://amzn.to/3zFwF8y

Piping for hookas: https://amzn.to/3xTIXtv

Bambu filaments used: Silver, matte ash gray, matte latte brown, and matte ivory white, copper, bronze, matte dark red/marine blue (for bar stripes)

July 27 2024 UPDATE: I split the white/silver bar-top files into separate files for those without AMS printing. Redownload the .zip below. I had to fix the BarTopMiddle split file, please redownload!

Good afternoon and hope you are well. I am working on this project and not finding the top of the chairs in the Chairs and Tables folder. I see a 3d object file but no stl or 3mf.

Wayne Gilley

for some reason cura doesn't let me slice the arch door? Am i doing something wrong?

Mason Wride

it's called cantina_body_24 in the Hookah folder.

Landspeeder Luke

Starting to print the small stuff and I dont see a file for the hookah mouth piece

Magna Defender

Going to start working on this tonight. Your stuff is top notch!

R. J. Clark

archway and the bar doesnt fit together

Reuben Delgado

Thank you, i see your note now... Looks better. I Probably should do more than 10% lightning on those. Still didn't look as smooth as yours.

Pistol Pete

Use a really small layer height like .08

Landspeeder Luke

Luke is there a trick to printing the stools. the tops look like a topographic map where yours look smooth? Thanks

Pistol Pete

Gotcha, thank you!

Michael Galuppo

Tape for the stripes. For the doorway arch it’s elevated slightly

Landspeeder Luke

Any tips on painting the red and blue on the bar top and arch?

Michael Galuppo

Thanks for splitting the bar, but I was talking about beigetopmiddle in the Beige Outer Awning folder.

Greg Thompson

Dang fast response. thank you!

teamcesar

Yes, it just means it’s one file that you would paint in the slicer. Make it silver, and then just click with the paint can on the top of the bar to make it white.

Landspeeder Luke

Such a great upgrade! Question about the bar. I see the "Bar Top for AMS" folder, but it seems the files in them are only 1 color. Is this deliberate? Thanks!

teamcesar

Oh shoot thanks for the heads up

Landspeeder Luke

The Light up tables are so cool. You can even use as tea lights. Heads up if you're buying the lights from the Amazon link, each light already comes with 3x LR41 batteries. I bought an extra pack of LR44's listed in the PDF and they're way bigger than the lights and didn't seem to need. @LandspeederLuke, you may want to update your PDF with the correct battery.

Brian Corpuz

Thank you! I have a Creality K1 using hyper pla. Thank you!

Greg Thompson

Hey Greg! I can upload a split version. What printer are you using?

Landspeeder Luke

How are people printing the beige outer awning? It doesn’t fit the print bed unless I flip it like a standing arch, but then the print failed at the top curve. Turn on supports and try again?

Greg Thompson

Nevermind my question on the LEDs - the video on the product page shows they're quite large - I think definitely too large for a 1/18 size print. Are you familiar with any similar product for 1/18 by any chance?

Remi

Luke, I have a stupid couple of questions. a) How small are the LEDs which you recommend? Would they still fit if I print the tables in 1/18 scale? b) For the hookas piping, which diameter do you suggest I look for (again 1/18)?

Remi

Well said

Remi

It’s that simple, yet I forgot. Thanks, Luke!

Shakes The Clone

I knew there would be a better option to the TVC Haslab. My patience and lack of FOMO is being rewarded.

Scott Sevegny

Thanks Luke.

Darth_Chimera

3.75/6 = 62%

Landspeeder Luke

Tamiya masking tape has a great reputation with the scale modelers.

Shakes The Clone

What’s the math for converting 6” to that scale? I sent it to myself in an email in case I ever forgot it, which I have. Now I can’t find the email. 😆

Shakes The Clone

💯

Shakes The Clone

Fantastic, thank you!!! BTW was there a stencil for painting the red & blue?

Luis Velez

This is awesome! Can’t wait to add the alcoves too!

Greg Thompson

Oh okay thank you. You’re the best as always!!

Jon Chrisman

I'm just thankful he's doing it for this one, if you aren't happy with the many many amazing designs he's released then I don't know what to tell you. I consider this a positive space, you can keep your negativity elsewhere.

Bill Fryer

i been really wanting 3mf files set up also -- like - i was crazy excited for the cockpit to drop and then i unzip the file and see the mess inside - like man, cmon - please bro - you know a majority of the people here are using bambu now and going foward it will stay like that - so being on here, i hope you consider that - i kept my sub going for MONTHS now without downloading or printing any of your files - and I do that to support you and keep you going - but plz, 3mf bro - if not i'm only going to be more vocal about this in the future and my voice is growing loud as the days go on

Block BB

No extra tier figures?! This is underwhelming... /sarcasm off 😊 Amazing job! I cannot wait to print it in 1/18!

Remi

3MF Files?!? Thank you Luke!!!

Bill Fryer

Amazing!

Ellie Jay

The hype is real. Thank you so much for this!

Shane Hawkins

I recommend starting from scratch, this new one has a lot more detail and is more accurate.

Landspeeder Luke

Wow! I already have the bar printed- do you think I could just print the arch pieces to go with it or is a reprint of the bar itself recommended?

Greg Thompson

I didn't want to be limited by the size of that one, I think you'll like this a lot better

Landspeeder Luke

Dude you are absolutely killing it. This is so great.

CosmicForce3DPrints

Oh just because I already have that set so I had thought I could just print the other pieces and fit it together

Jon Chrisman

No but why would you want it to?

Landspeeder Luke

Will this work with the cantina bar set that hasbro released a few years ?

Jon Chrisman

You never cease to amaze sir.
