Cantina Alcoves

Extending the previously released cantina bar, I'm happy to reveal this extension which of course can be mirrored on the opposite side as well!

I do plan on doing the entrance as well which will extend this further.

This pictured configuration should fit on a 24" by 35" surface, but of course you can move things around as needed to fit your space!

Also, this tool here is great for easy quick weathering on your stripes and overall cantina.

UPDATE: Added a riser that fits inside the alcove for your cantina band! (see photo)

UPDATE Sept 14 2024: Alcove pieces have been fixed to lay flat in your slicer.

A thought on the alcove fronts, it would be great if we could print them flat on their fronts too and still have the color stripes work, this way we could use the textured bed and get a sand/rock like texture on the fronts and not have to to deal with ironing at all.

Hola Luke, me acabo de suscribir a Patreón tengo que modificar algo para que se imprima en escala 1/12, disculpa soy nuevo en impresión 3d

Iván Moreno

Is there another AMS file for it?

patrick reichhard

I used a tutorial on youtube to make a wall out of plaster and cardboard that looks like a real stucco wall. https://youtu.be/1bIOfgkb-B8?si=av3lu6tJcI3xok86 This one shows how to make a stucco house from mos eisley. I hope posting the link doesn't make you mad luke, I just think it can help people and they did it at celebration in 2022, this actual guy did the clinic on it.

Make sure you delete the files that start with _. They are artifacts of the zipping program he uses. The files at the bottom of the list are the ones to use.

Phu Vet

That worked! Thank you!

Greg Thompson

Thank you! Will do first thing in the morning! Thanks for the amazing fast response!

Greg Thompson

I figured out the issue. Redownload the zip now and try again.

Landspeeder Luke

Yes- I even got the arches to print before the new files today by rotating them. But the big main alcove piece itself won’t lie flat and supports didn’t work.

Greg Thompson

The largest piece of the interior of the alcove?

Landspeeder Luke

I still can’t get the alcove file to print. I even tried it with supports and no luck. Only file I’ve not been able to print. Creality K1.

Greg Thompson

I found the bug Luke! By mistake you left the STL files for Mac in the same folder for Windows! If you look closely, when you enter the .zip, there are two folders, _MACOSX and "Cantina Alcoves", when you enter "Cantina Alcoves" there are also the MAC files, in addition to the files for windows! Therefore, the Mac files are in the _MACOSX folder and in the normal one!

Fausto Manzano da Silva

Yup I tried it and it's still giving me the same problems.

Fausto Manzano da Silva

Interesting, I haven’t heard of anyone else having issues. Have you tried re-downloading the zip?

Landspeeder Luke

Hey Luke! How are you? When I try to open the .zip files, they don't load! I think the files are damaged, because when I try other dioramas I have no problem!

Fausto Manzano da Silva

Luke, what print of yours would you recommend for the floor?

Pistol Pete

😏

Raymundo Flores

marcus webb

This is absolutely incredible!

R. J. Clark

I plan on doing the entrance :)

Landspeeder Luke

Great addition. Think this is it or is there more to the cantina to flesh out?

Jay Schmidt

How does the bar compare in size to the Hasbro one?

Mark Miller

Are the red and blue pinstripes printed? If so that's pretty ingenious

Esteban Romo

Fan-freaking-tastic! Thank you!

Greg Thompson

Masterpiece 👌🏽
