Bespin Duel
Added 2024-10-28 16:25:14 +0000 UTCInspired by one of the most iconic scenes in all of cinema, I'm excited to present this fully rebuilt Bespin Duel diorama. The railings especially have been revisited so they should print cleanly and sturdily.
I recommend printing the "floating" silos on the right half with a lighter infill (~8%) and the base area (left half of dio) around 25% to help balance it out. I printed the black stand at 15% and glued down the base and gantry to it.
I used ash gray filament from Bambu for the majority of this, and using Bambu AMS I did "chrome" filament and ruby red for stripes on the poles and other details.
This is still my glue of choice.
The cables were done using 2mm rubber wire in white and black.

The basic shape is the same, but it has holes for the add-ons now, and the railings have been redesigned to print flat for maximum strength. You will unfortunately need to reprint this if you would like to connect it to the new pieces
