Painting Contest 2025!

Hey friends,

It's time to dig out and dust off your grey pile of shame, for we have a new painting contest that you will most definitely want to participate in! "Why is that?", you ask? Because this one has actual physical prizes for every participant!

Yup, you heard that right! We wanted to motivate everyone to take part in this event, especially those of you who may think "Why bother? I'm not good enough to win anyway." Which is why we went ahead and ordered premium quality metal pins for every person who is not afraid to show their work publicly. After all, this is what this hobby is about — painting figures and sharing them with others, right?

Apart from pins, of course, we also offer actual monetary prizes for the winners selected by our honorable judges, as well as most sought-for "artists favorite" special prize that lets one person choose one of our future models. So, as you can see, we got you covered!

Speaking of which, I'd like to thank Timothy Day (tday3d), Dianahase, and Simona Bordonaro for taking the role of judges in this contest. It's a tough work and I am very grateful for their presence!

Bulkamancer painting contest 2025

Rules:

1) Must be a Bulkamancer model. This can include loyalty rewards. However, the-galactic-soldier-who-can't-be-named, busts and free models are prohibited (sorry, Toad, you're out).

2) Must have a picture of your model before painting (we will accept primer and a zenithal highlight at max) with "Bulkamancer painting contest 2025".

3) No alternations/kitbashing of the models. We will allow you to get creative with the bases, but we want to keep the models as they were sculpted by the artists.

4) Changing the scale is allowed, so don't be shy of submitting that 1:1 Esquie.

5) One entry per person. If you wish to change your entry, you will have to resubmit a new fresh one with "Bulkamancer painting contest 2025" included.

6) No submission of entries on behalf of another person.

7) Must post at least 2 WIPs at different stages in your entry channel.

8) Must be a paid subscriber on Bulkamancer Sculpts Patreon, MMF Tribes or Boosty in August and September 2025.

9) Closing date for final submissions is: September 22nd @ 00:00 GMT.

10) All participation entries must be submitted in our Discord server.

Categories:

Unlike the last year, we won't be separating the entries into categories. However, we reserve the right of a tie in case two entries cannot be judged comparatively due to vastly different styles.

Prizes:

• 1st place: $600

• 2nd place: $300

• 3rd place: $150

• "Artists Favorite" special award (one model selected by the team). The winner gets to pick a model we'll sculpt in December.

• Metal pin: All participants who submit their final entry will receive a metal pin once the contest is over. Be prepared to provide your shipping address in a special form we'll send out separately.

The monetary prizes will be delivered via PayPal, so make sure you have an account capable of receiving payments.

Dates:

• Participant registry is now live!

• Submissions open: August 18th, 2025.

• Submissions close: September 22nd @ 00:00 GMT.

• Winner announcement: September 30th.
